Initially planned to be a staging post for ships heading towards Liberty, Klaksvik now serves as a location from which the Gaians can send scouts to monitor the development of planetary bodies around the nearby Independent Systems. The inhabitants of this base are usually very suspicious, even of their own allies, and are not very hospitable to strangers.
