The Office of Naval Intelligence or ONI for short is a branch of the Royal Navy of the house of Gallia. When the Gallia sleeper ship arrived at Ile-de-France in 84 A.S the Gallic Royal Navy began to conduct reconnaissance of their new home. When space travel began to become more accessible to civilians; the Royal Navy switched to internal security. The Office of Naval Intelligence was a small and a relatively unknown branch of the Gallic Military but it managed all information gathering and military operations coordination for the fleets and planet side forces. The first ONI base was in Tribune City and it was called Instillation-Alpha. What started off as a smart building with offices and cabinets to store files quickly turned into fortress that was impenetrable to any civilians or ground hostilities. The darkest and deepest secrets of the military from operations and plans to facility infra-structure, locations and purposes were all stored in Instillation-Alpha and are still to date.

In late 700 A.S the ONI constructed Foxtrot base. It is located off-land and the surrounding waters are off limits to commercial, civilian and even police forces. From battle tanks and armored personal carriers for the army, aviation transports and combat planes for the air force to large container transports and fuel for the navy, Foxtrot was one of many bases that helped run the Gallic war machine.

They used the vast base to build a major component of the Gallic Military, its ground forces. From battle tanks and armored personal carriers for the army, aviation transports and combat planes for the air force to large container transports and fuel for the navy, Foxtrot was one of many bases that helped run the Gallic war machine. Many more ONI owned and operated bases exist and are scattered throughout Crown territory. It is rumored ONI has a remote and hidden base that can prepare and launch enormous anti-capital ship missiles from the ground in silos. However some feel it is mere propaganda that was released by the Navy but others think differently. The branch is currently trying to establish more bases in Gallic territory for all kinds of reasons from defensive, offensive, training and support objectives.

At the moment the ONI is supporting the Royal Navy's fleets directly and indirectly. The branch has multiple combat wings and support vessels that fly alongside the Navy and also fly ahead of the fleets to gain direct-intelligence of hostile positions and equipment. The RNS Prowler is a Valor class ship that has been retrofitted to be a front line command vessel for the ONI in the Tau sector for when the invasion of Sirus gets underway. The branch also has agents who go undercover in all kinds of environments to gain further intelligence that the military could later exploit. They are the royal families eyes, ears and dagger. They are the Military's knowledge and planner.
