Synopsis
Palermo Base is the front line of Outcast defence against Corsair onslaught in Omicron Eta system. This heavily armored installation was constructed in 786 A.S., shorly after the nearby mine field was set up. Its main purpose is to keep the passage into Omicron Alpha, the Outcast home system, secure from Corsair forces. Despite significant Corsair presence in nearby areas, the Palermo defenders successfully fulfil their duty: large Corsair fleets never succeed in breaching the mine field that demarcates the system.
