I know its nothing like everyone elses but im just starting and learning to use photoshop, though I am using Photoshop Elements 2001 edition and all the tutorials are in Mac lol
the green and purple are making the whole scene sickly. The person look very ill because of it.
Not my best attempt, but it's one. Whoever can guess the picture's origin wins a cookie.

Yes, another sig out of utter boredom. 17 days more to go D:
Fairly dark, and I failed pretty badly on the engine effect, but w/e. Not sure I like the stark contrast between the character's name and the background color, but I didn't feel like looking through the entire color palette for one that fit perfectly, so I'll change it later if I find a better one. The fonts aren't that great either, now that I look at it.
Meh.
EDIT: Removed a green particle which was way too big.
EDIT2: Tweaked some more.
I'd say take the font from the first one and give it a light blue or turquoise colour in order to fit the background. Light velvet and the 'horror font' doesn't really fit an LSF agent, in my opinion.
Otherwise: quite nice, although I'm not that sure about the circle (planet?) yet - the edges are too fuzzy compared to the rectangle edges of the rest of the sig.
Either give those hard edges a border or let the circle edges become clearer, I'd say:)
Made this in about 10 minutes.. was just messing about with LA-384's lovely ship renders.
It needs work done to it, but I'm not exactly sure what to do.
Quite nice, Jamez.
I'd say the only thing you need is a nice background where the white is. I'd suggest a smooth space background with red- / orange- / brown-ish colours, seeing the theme of the GC VHF and the Kiretsu insignia.
Tau-65 would be perfect for that.. although how would I go about making the text stand out? A white outline perhaps, 2px wide or something?
White outline, yes, but 2px may be a tad too much, try if 1px looks better, I'd say.
I'd suggest another option though: make the text white and give it a drop shadow so it's visible above the background. Or go for the grey text and give it a white outer glow. Both should work:)
I went off on a tangent a bit.. the background is from Okinawa. Added some glow, I'm addicted to that filter! O_o
EDIT: Here's another one.. I dunno which one I like the most. "-.-
