' Wrote:Well, for a Jinx creation it sure doesn't have a lot of rough white edges. Then again, it's pretty simple transparency. Text is hard to read, and the character render is, shall we say, "WTF?" The bevel/emboss is pretty cliche, and the ship render is pretty badly distorted. The background is very good, but I'm willing to bet the farm that it isn't Jinx's work. The sepia tone is interesting, but the effect is ruined by the character render.
In short, I'm not a big fan and I'm in a rather bad mood.
Well, Dopamino, if you're not in a good mood, don't take it out on other, smaller, people.

Dopa is a formidable art critic, his bad mood only slightly increased the criticism. What he said is true though.
The render is what disbalances the sig, be it Jinx' or Selena's approach. No offense, but a more realistic render (be it drawn, truly rendered or a photo) would have been a better choice here.
I like it. More contrast on render might help. Not sure.
Also, the starflyer thing... we can still see the istock photo ad on the render... =P
You think I'm going to pay for a photo of a hick when I'm not even getting paid in fake money to do it?!:P
This is actually Selena's right now. I can't have Jinx's because photobucket is crap. (Well, imageshack is better.)
Edit: Nevermind, Jinx's is back!
Aaaaand your signature is gone. Jay for Jinx and photobucket. Better upload it to your own thing next time.
Something I made for EnchyLens/Bligther a few days/weeks ago, with some help from Teschy. She seems to love it still, so no complaints here.
I like it!
My sig shows up for me, though.
Ah, so 't was you and Teschy who made that sig, Mike!
Nicely done! Lovely use of tech brushes and her name on the uniform.
May I ask where you got the render?
Tried making a new sig. Believe it or not, the background was originally a screenshot of an in-game spacescape. I think that for once I did decently with brushes.
*Shrug*
I just need to tweak a few things (like the darkness in the lower-left corner and the text which is a bit too pale still). Shame things look slightly different in Photoshop and on the forums.
EDIT: There, tweaked it a bit and split it more thoroughly.

Deviant art. Ench said she wanted a 'Military sort of woman with brunette hair'. So I just DA'd for 'Military woman brunette' and found that. The name on the tag was different atfirst, though.
