The Lucullus class liner "DHC-Aggressive.Negotiations", is the newest addition to the Daumann family luxury fleet. The Liner was purchased to replaace the decommissioned Shukensha class liner, the DHC-Munificent; which was found out to be too expensive to maintain and operate in comparison to other liners.

The Aggressive Negotiations serves mainly as Rebecca Daumann's personal ship; a practice introduced into the family and the corporation when she took office as the CEO of DHC. The liner has an entire private deck dedicated entirely to Frau Daumann, her family, and her guests; but it also has a corporate deck for high ranking employees to use as a mobile HQ, and a public deck for business partners and associates.

As with the Munificent, the name for this liner was picked by Rebecca Daumann.

On board staff

The Liner has approximately 500 employees on board, dedicated entirely to the operation of the ship, with a minimum requirement of 350 and a maximum capacity of 700. On board staff includes security officers, which in some cases can amount to 200.

The Captain of the ship, has his own quarters in the corporate deck; his identity is classified due to security reasons, and they usually serve in the ship for half a year. They are chosen among the best trade ship captains in the corporation.

Security

Security personnel is chosen among loyal security employees, usually with many years of working for DHC. DHC has made sure to make the liner as secure as possible; the only deck with not surveillance is the private deck. The liner has been fitted with its own communication node, to prevent using federal nodes to establish a comm link. During normal operations; the ships has approximately 70 security agents, some undercover as maintenance staff; during cruise security is usually doubled, and escorts fly along the ship, normally a bomber/fighter squadron, but in some cases a gunboat is used for additional security. Weapons are not allowed on board for employees and visitors; and security officers are equipped with Kishiro manufactured non lethal light arms, mainly because Daumann doesn't produce non-lethal weaponry. In the private deck however, Rebecca's bodyguards are equipped with Daumann heavy weaponry and combat gear, including the Daumann Shredder and the Crowd Killer.

Decks

The liner has 4 decks. The public deck, the corporate deck, the maintenance deck, and the private deck

Public Deck

The public deck is accessible by business partners, or individuals visiting to do business with the corporation. There are 90 normal suites, and 10 luxury suites available. The visitors lounge has a Daumann store, a comm station, a bar, a pool, and a spa reserved for special cases. As with the Munificent, the public area also exhibits the collection of the family's jewels, inluding "Big Bertha", the biggest diamond ever found in the asteroid field in O11; weights 102 pounds, and its a rare variety of green diamond. Due to its green tint, it has also been nicknamed "Rheinland's heart".

The public deck also hosts the business center, where the corporation handles most of its business in "Mobile HQ" configuration.

Corporate Deck

The corporate deck serves as the Mobile HQ of the corporation. Usually only high ranked employees and board members are allowed in the corporate deck, and security is even tighter than in the public deck. The corporate deck is slightly smaller than the public deck, with 50 rooms reserved for corporation employees, and 10 luxury rooms for high ranking visitors. Each of the 50 rooms can be divided in case more rooms are necessary, however this is usually not the case. It also has a meeting room, for more personal business with DHC representatives or Rebecca herself. The corporate deck has its own bar and comm station. Usually the highly select guests invited to the corporate deck are received in their rooms with a personal assistant and a diamond with the corporation logo laser-cut on it, encased in a high kinetic polymer transparent box.

Private Deck

Most of the information of the private deck is classified, mostly due to security reasons. There is no surveillance inside, but its heavily guarded from the outside; the deck has its own life support systems, and the network is split from the main network. There are 100 luxury rooms, and 30 more rooms reserved exclusively for the Daumann family, and the biggest suite reserved for Rebecca Daumann herself. Few are invited to the private deck, usually close friends of Rebecca and the Daumann family, but whoever is invited, can expect to be received with the highest luxury available. As with the corporate deck, guests have their own personal assistant(s) picked and customized to their preferences. The identity of the staff allowed in the private deck, including the personal assistants, is classified. As expected, the private deck has its own set of amenities; all of them classified.

Maintenance Deck

Maintenance deck is the general names given to all the areas of the ship were only the staff has access. It is made up of security, engineering, engine room, maintenance, and the staff quarters. The deck has its own bar and dining room,a and a public lounge with general amenities. Aside from that, its very basic in comparison to the rest of the decks. The security room has a small prisoner cell room in case an "extra-official" arrest is required.

Configurations

The liner can be configured to serve different purposes.

  • General Configuration: The main configuration, operating with the normal ammount of staff and cargo, and with all amenities available.
  • Minimum Configuration: Used when docked and not planned to use in a long time. Only vital staff is on board, all non-essential cargo is transfered to external storage, and most amenities are unavailable. The private deck is exempt, with all staff and amenities available.
  • Emergency Configuration: Used in case of a high risk scenario. The concept was conceived during the early days of the Bonn Crisis, where several corporate advisors suggested evacuating the family and close friends to Munich. On emergency configuration, all non-essential personnel is transfered; most, if not all amenities are unavailable, the public deck is locked down and the rooms used entirely to store extra cargo and fuel. Security is increased significantly, and lethal weapon on certain areas is authorized.
  • Extended Configuration: Used when the ship is expected to remain in areas with little to no supply lines available, potentially hostile space, or extended cruise times. Normal operations, and non used maintenance rooms are used as extra cargo storage, along with the public deck rooms as required.
  • Enhanced Configuration: Used when the amount of guests require additional supplies and personnel. All amenities are available, and extra personnel is brought on board.
