History

The first signs of the Idumi family's rising influence was during 321 A.S. fall of the Hideyoshi family. Records show the Idumi family played a role with Samura during the Yammamoto families rise to power. With the success of the Samura backed Coup, records show the relatively small Idumi family at the time gained many small islands on Kyushu. Over the next few years the Idumi family grew in size, and the size of there farm which expanded to 9 small islands, most of them artificially built. The Idumi Family didn't appear in space again till 802 A.S. which gave the family plenty of time to raise its farming empire, as well as becoming one of the most influential farms on Kyushu. In the early months of 802 A.S. the Idumi family began facing financial trouble, but not from other farmers, but from foriegn shipping, mainly being Synth Foods. Out of desperation the idumi family returned to space, most of the family joining the Farmers Alliance and some of them joining Samura, funding the family with the money it had lost.

Current Information

The Idumi Family currently resides on there islands located on Planet Kyushu. The Idumi family, currently headed by Kyo, still farms on 8 of its 9 islands year round due to Kyushu's perfect climate and thanks to Samura fertilizers and genetically enhanced rice. Currently the Idumi islands produce mainly rice, but also tea plants, and surprisingly yuzu trees. Now that the most of the famliy members are either members of the Artisan Farmers Alliance or members of Samura Heavy Industries. Kyo had a difficult time managing the family and staying completely true to there traditionalist ways, but time has shown that he is becoming a great leader for the family. Now that Kyo has adapted to being the head of the family he tries to stay true to the families traditionalist ways.

Idumi Family Members

Kyo

Kyo is the Current head of the Idumi family since he was the only male born child to become the family heir. Kyo will normally keep a very calm, content attitude when in conversation with others. In the past he has been known to become irritated and even enraged when his family or other farmers livelihood and lives become threatened. Even though Kyo has sworn his allegiance to the AFA he does not trust the Hogosha and there shady criminal ways.

Kaori

Kaori being the second youngest in the family, born in 803 A.S., is currently learning botany with the Athenian Research Institute. Though she is still young to become a scientist, her intelligence and love for nature push her forward with her work, hoping she may be able to help the farms back on Kyushu from what she learns. Kaori is still young at heart and will act much younger then her age.

Sakura

Sakura who did not join the AFA but Samura instead. As the Idumi family came under hard times, Sakura was the one family member that helped the family earn some of its wealth back. Sakura, being very traditional, felt it was right for her to join samura, in a attempt to pay respect for all Samura has done for there family and other farmers on Kyushu. Because of her traditional ideals, Sakura will always pay respect to men she encounters on her travels, even if that man is currently pirating her ship. Sakura does not even assume full command of her ships crew as she feels it is not her right to command them.

Chiba

Chiba has a small cat fetish ever since she escaped from the Consortium by sheer luck. Even though, Chiba should not be under estimated as she has a habit of being ruthless to enemies of the Emperor. Chiba is currently in the Kusari Navel Forces, based in the lower Kyushu system. Being the oldest daughter of the family she is somewhat trigger happy and her emotions tend to shape her actions, sometimes not even thinking over a situation before she jumps into the middle of one.

Ichigo

Ichigo is the youngist child of the Idumi family. Still in school she almost never leaves the safety of Kyushu but occasional flies some of the Idumi family's atmospheric vehicles to learn how to fly. Ichigo being very young still is not very mature and gets along extremely well with her older sister Kaori.

Zakuro

Zakuro was once apart of a mining guild in the Tau-23 system, but after events with the Hogosha, she was forced to leave. Now that she is back on Kyushu she has sworn allegiance to the family's traditionalist ways, and assists Kyo in the AFA. Zakuro knows how to keep her cool but doesn't like to be nasty at people, even when she might be pirating them in the name of the AFA. Zakuro, like Kyo, does not trust any Hogosha but will be generally nice to any one else she meets, especially the Gaians.

Yumi

Yumi is undoubtedly the rebel in the family. Yumi once was a captain for a PanGal luxury liner, and a Kusarian Yatch. Now that she has returned to Kyushu after Kyo constantly bugging her. Yumi, even though she may seem to act traditional, does not agree with there family's ways. Yumi loves to explore space, and to live a life of luxury. One thing she despises though is synth paste, even with all of her non-traditional ways. Yumi is childish but does not take being insulted nicely.
