Ivan Hernandez,best known under the alias Achilies is a member of the Outcasts and one of the leaders on the Senate in the XTF, a privately owned militia comprised mostly of former slaves.
Early years
Evidence shows that he was born on planet Curacao,within the Cortez system,to parents-Juliana Price and Enrique Hernandez,exact date of birth is not on file.Records show that Ivan's father was a supply officer on the luxury liner Hawaii and was often called in at work.Because of that factor,his son was free to do as he pleases , until one night,when he succeeded in stealing a private ship and managed to evade the authorities before abandoning the ship on a secluded rooftop.He did not however manage to evade the gaze of the owner of the ship who had been watching all along.Her name was Leyla Okamura ,an agent of the Blood Dragon Intelligence Forces and ,supposedly a descendant of Kozue Okamura -a former head of the Royal Guard during the reign of Shogun Hideyoshi.It is not known by what means she did it,but a few days later Leyla was sighted in the system of Hokkaido,training her new acolyte within the dense gas clouds.
Stay with the Dragons
Having trained alongside lady Okamura for a year,Ivan was finally selected for a mission.His performance was excellent and it was not long after that he became an integral part of Leyla's team,most often used to gather information,posing as a homeless kid ,and every once in a while used as lady Okamura's personal wingman,under the call sign "Genites".While on this post,it is reported that he earned the respect and favor of both the Dragons and their Chrysanthemum allies who more then once requested his assistance on a variety of matters.It is rumored that it was during one of his stays with the Chrysanthemums that he first discovered Cardamine and its effects , and little by little became addicted to it.That addiction was to be a factor which would lead to his upcoming capture.
Defeat and capture
It is said that lady Okamura had become too attached to the boy,regarding him as a little brother rather then a subordinate.During a mission shortly after,she put herself in the line of fire in order to save the boy,her ship had sustained major damage by the time the mission was over and even though she was still alive and relatively stable,it is said that Ivan was furious at the sight of his mentor's helplessness.During that time of rage,he made the mistake of going out alone to hunt down the remainder of KNF forces,in order to avenge Leyla.The trail he left however was too apparent and the Naval Forces quickly managed to encircle the lone fighter finally taking him down and tractoring his escape pod on board one of their cruisers which was to be taken down the same day by the escort of a slave convoy headed for the planet Malta.
Slavery and Freedom
After being tractored inside the slaver ship, Ivan was supposedly held in the overflowing with people cargo hold.There is little information about what happened inside the ship at that time,however subsequent events show that upon leaving the slave ship,Ivan had already made the acquaintance of the bretonian Thomas Turner and the rheinlander James Aslan.It is unknown whether or not he had previously met these individuals,having worked for many organisations during his assignments for lady Okamura,however,monitoring footage has showed that there were friendly relations between them,raising doubt that while still officially being on Leyla's team, Ivan Hernandez may have already been a member of the organisation known as XTF,in which he would stay until current date. Records show that after their release from the slaver ship,Ivan would become and essential part of the group lead by James Aslan,participating in their meetings and protecting others from the oppression on the cardamine fields,eventually becoming Aslan's right hand along with Turner. Hernandez's stay on the fields of Malta was not brief,however it did come to an appropriate end for a group like the XTF.A wealthy matlesian by the name of Che Guavera decided to buy the whole group out of slavery in exchange for them agreeing to destroy the people who killed Guavera's son-The Colonial Remnant.
Later activities
After being bought out of slavery and back in their ships,the XTF quickly became a frontline fighting force for the Outcast nation,putting the pressure off the 101st Outcast guard and the MNS,being lead by the three brothers in arms,Turner,Aslan and Hernandez and later on Pedro Caballo,replacing the veteran Aslan.Intel suggests that Achilies's skills in combat were admirable,having won multiple engagements with enemy forces when outmatched.Because of this the Maltese government decided to sanction the building of the XTF Military Academy at which the Maltese pilots would go to study advanced tactics,and at which Hernandez would be appointed as Commander and Chief.Slowly but surely the maltesians grew to support the XTF,as a capable and trustworthy group,so much so that it was decided for Hernandez to take command of the Outcast forces in battle during the absence of the ,at the time, leader of the 101st Ghosts of Razgriz-Brand Garrison. To this day,Achilies can be seen training his men in different locations across Sirius as well as researching various weapon setups and mounting attacks on lawful organisations who oppose the spread of the Orange Dream.
Psychological profile
Achilies's skill has always been accompanied by his rather large ego,sometimes mistaken for full fledge arrogance.With actions bordering crazy,he has often been accused of being insane,unfit for command and unreliable.This would have presumably been enough to dismiss him,however,his uncanny wit and foresight have always managed to get him out of tight situations.With a dual side to his personality,one being a rational individual hell bent on doing whats good for everyone and taking his time when there are other people's lives at stake and the other being a short fused temperamental individual with a lousy attitude who sees some of his duties as a minor annoyance and is quick to do them without precision,his intentions have often been misunderstood. Guilt remaining from his history with Leyla Okamura has made him a careful and reserved person when there are other people under his command.If alone however he would not care for his own life if it means taking down an enemy with him.
