The Rogues
Jack Malcolm was originaly born a Rogue, on Buffalo Base. Though by the time he was 21, he had gotten fed up with Liberty, believing the Rogues to be pawns of the Outcasts. At this time he took a Bactrian freighter, christened it the Blood Bak, and sailed for Bretonia.
Onward to Leeds
Jack arrived on Leeds in early 811 AS, and looked for a crime gang. He first encountered the Buccaneers on the streets, eliminating a rival gang and led by the imposing John Morris. This was of course brutally effective. Within a week Jack had joined up as a Prospect. During this time he formed a semi-friendship-type-thing with fellow prospect Thomas Anderson. In the elimination of one rival gang in 813 AS, a member attacked him with a vibro-dagger, cutting a long scar down his face. Jack killed the gang member, but had to have his eye replaced with a cybernetic. 816 AS ended for him like it did for many Buccaneers. Lieutenant Henry Morgan returned from his excursion with tales of the space piracy going on up there, John Hawkins was voted out of the Captain position, and Jack retrieved the Blood Bak, being used for planetside transport, for use as his ship.
In Space with a Ship and Rum
The Buccaneers rented there part of Trafalgar, and Jack soon became a Buccaneer. He was part of the raid on Gold Convoy Beta-19, which netted the Buccaneers several million. Jack was also responsible for the destruction of the intervening Gunboat, ramming it along the Main power conduit with the Blood Bak on autopilot. As reward for this Jack received one of the Percheron Transports, the BMM Yorkshire, as a replacement for the Blood Bak. He renamed it the Happy Bounty, and heavily modified it, most noteworthy the two additional engines nestled between the wings. He also built a Crow fighter out of various junked ships for a fighter. He was surprised as anyone about Thomas Anderson's promotion to Lieutenant, though he drank as heavily as anyone else that night.
Characteristics
Jack is medium on the ruthlessness scale, doing anything for a profit, but not -as- sadistic as others. He is an excellent fighter pilot, flying his Crow in circles around escort fighters. He is equally skilled in a fight on ground, wielding his two pulse blasters and "vibro-machete" with deadly efficiency. He also has some grasp of tactics. His right eye has been replaced with a yellow-glowing prosthetic.
