Jack Selkner is a mildly insane, genetically twisted Revolutionary, also called Crux, by some.

History

Little to absolutely nothing is known about Jack's origins, although it is generally accepted that he is Libertonian. His first sighting was as a mental patient, aboard a civilian wing of the LPI-Sugarland. He was picked up from a Manhattan bar for "racous behavior, belligerent destruction of property, and attempted murder", and promptly placed in solitary confinement after an inspection by one of the resident doctors.

It is believed that he spent over 3 years at the facility, steadily growing worse over time. Many of the caretakers came to call him "Psycho", a nickname picked up after several attempts to murder those trying to give him medication. He was put into more heavily guarded sections of the facility, being given less and less medication. Eventually, he was basically "tucked into a corner" - ignored, kept under lock and key. No-one could get anything near him, besides the occasional meal.

Not much is clear, after that point. Not even Jack is quite sure what happened. What is known is that he was scheduled for a transfer to the Hunstville, but the freighter never made it there. Jack maintains that he never killed the crew, or even got aboard the ship.

Further Tribulations

He was next sighted onboard a Spatial-class mining craft, roving around Liberty. He was absolutely delirious, commiting random acts of terror. He often forgot his name, and often presented riddles and ultimatums for Liberty Forces. However, it quickly devolved into nothing more than desperate attacks, quickly runnning him into the ground.

Ceasing his attacks, he began to experiment with himself, using a small lab built onboard Barrier Gate station. It is unknown how he obtained the expertise to effectively manipulate the equipment, but he was able to conduct several effective procedures on himself. Soem of these included replacing his hands with mechanical replacements (seemingly for his own amusement)and impanting a nano-cybernetic network within his body. However, a single procedure changed him forever.

While tinkering with an artifact, a large burst of energy came from it. When he came to, he could barely move, seemingly dishcarging energy at a massive rate. When he finally stabilized, his entire appearance had changed. His skin was pale, his eyes were red, and his body was lanky and thin. After being promptly thrown of the station in his old Spatial (minus one engine), he set off to...not die.

Insanity

Over time, he became more despondent. He felt cursed - he was cursed. Something was destroying him from the inside. Despite any cause that he fought for, despite anyone he fought, or befriended...there was a void. It was as though someone had torn out a piece of him.

He doubted why he acted. He doubted why he was alive. It didn't make much sense, no matter how he looked at it.

Of course, nothing ever had, so there was a start.

He always came back to a question: "Who is to blame?" Jack thought long and hard about it. There was himself, but he wasn;t in the mood for suicide. There was also those who had turned from him. Government, society, humanity - all just wishing to sweep him away. To sweep...alot of people away, come to think of it.

Well, that couldn't go on. Not at all.

Maybe he was a lost cause. Maybe he was just some psychopath who really, really shouldn't exist.

A Friend

He laid dormant for several months, waiting aboard Kreuzberg. Many had assumed he was dead, or otherwise out of the way.

His next confirmed sighting was extremely strange. He appeared onboard a Kruger mining ship, sneaking abaord with the crew. Once it reached the Schwefelnebel, he appeared from the cargo hold, along with a woman he reffered to as "Lily", and donning a strange, full-body suit. After overtaking the command center, they smashed the ship into a large asteroid towards the center of the field.

They had worked out a friendship - perhaps the only alliance he would ever have. They were a team.

And, some way or another, they'd both find what they were looking for.

Personality

Due to considerable physical and genetic modification, brought on by the artifact, Jack has been driven to a split personality. There is Jack himself, a more rational, calculating personality. And, there is another side, which he has come to call Crux.

Crux has been known to be extremely psychotic, being the driving force behind much of the random violence he partakes in. He has been known to simply fall into mindless babble, barely understandable, andsimply goign on a rampage, destroying anything even mildly threatening. It's really quite terrifying, as well as terribly confusing.

Lily

Lily is Jack's/Crux's quiet, violent, and knife-obsessed best friend, as well as his partner.

Little is known of her past, although it is known that her mother was a Junker from Kreuzberg. Strangely, despite her (probable) Rheinaldn origin, she speaks in a Libertonian accent. Whenever someone asks her about her past, she threatens to stab them. If they ask again, she stabs them. Repeatedly.

Lily is known for her extenseive collection of knives (247, at last count). She has even said herself that she is hopelessly obsessed with them, and often uses them in hand to hand combat.

Other than that, all that is known is that she considers Jack to be her best friend. Neither knows how they met, and they both presume they were heavily intoxicated at the time.

The Infinitum

The Infinitum is a modified Roc-class bomber piloted by both Lily and Jack. It is fitted with two fully outfitted cockpits, with one flying and one controlling weaponry at a time. They can switch roles at any time.

The Cockpits are outfitted to be comfortable enough to live in. In addition to those changes, it contains extra supply tanks for air and water, dual eject pods, slightly more powerful; engines, and a larger supply bay to store salvage and food supplies. Crux's cockpit is sealed off from Lily's, allowing him to conduct spacewalk's while Lily continues flying the ship. This often used for maintenance.
