Exodus
Jason was born on Planet Malta, to Ben and Elizabeth Ebony, on the 31st of October 798 A.S.
Due to the rising fear of the Corsair-Order Alliance (and fear for the well-being of their child) Ben and Elizabeth fled the Omicron-Alpha system. With knowledge of numerous jump-holes and a ship registered to a "Bretonia Mining and Manufacturing" Pilot, they were able to get as far as Tau-31. At the beginning of 799 A.S, they discovered refugee in Holman Outpost, where Jason's Father gained employment, with the Independent Miners Guild.
Holman Outpost, was the Ebony's home for close to 17 years; when in July 15th 816 A.S Ben Ebony was killed by a Kusari pilot, in a skirmish between Bretonia and Kusari. The death of her husband drove Elizabeth insane, causing her to pick-up her old cardamine addiction. She eventually Over-dosed November 21st 816 A.S. With both his parents deceased, it left Jason alone at the age of 18. Jason left Holman Outpost, (as a stowaway) onboard an IMG ship, to Freeport 6 in Tau-29. Paranoia drove Jason to change his family name; fearing that the Kusari Pilot was hired by his fathers old enemies to kill him, and that they would target him next. He changed his family name to the unofficial name of his father's old ship, "Cerberus" to somewhat honor his parents.
Jason lived in Freeport 6 for 7 weeks, managing to gain a position on the Freeport 6 Maintenance crew to make his living. His short stay on Freeport 6 ended when he saw his opportunity arise; A wing of "The Order" Pilots docked at Freeport 6, to meet with Zoners. Jason used the maintenance shafts to gain access to the hanger that the ships had docked in. Stealing one of the Nephthys he made his escape to Kusari Space. He eventually re-christened the ship "Event Horizon".
Freelancer
Jason now makes his living as a Freelancing Pirate. Exploring the borders of Kusari Space; ransacking small convoys or lone transports. His favorite victims are the members of the Kusari Corporations, due to the death of his father. He salvages what he can from the wreckages and sells off what he cannot use. During the dry spells, Jason will also take jobs from the local factions for the supplies, parts and money that he needs. By only targeting the smaller convoys, the Kusari Law Enforcement haven't targeted him as an issue. Along the same lines, the bounties that are posted for his death, don't offer substantial rewards; thus are only ever taken by the rookie bounty hunters (Which pose no threat, with a ship like "Event Horizon" at his command.)
Jason tends to limit his exploration to the Border Worlds and will "make base" in IMG stations when he can. It is a rarity for Jason to venture into the Core Systems, only ever doing so for critical repairs that cannot be obtained by any of the local stations.
Personality
Jason is very calm and collected and isn't eager to get into combat. He tries to always see logic, weighing up all possibilities and outcomes before he dives in head first. If he doesn't benefit from a fight, he will try to avoid it; He only tends to strike when he sees the best opportunity. He is fairly friendly and has a number of contacts within various factions.
