Kaylynn was born to Ron and Kristene Ryely, two independent slavers. A year after Kaylynn's birth, the ship was stormed in Tau-37 by anti-slavers. The force quickly stormed the ship, setting fire to the ship and freeing the slaves. The fire quickly spread to the captain's room, where Kaylynn was sleeping, her parents dead from the raid. Mathew Bennet, a member of the anti-slavers, ran into the room to find Kaylynn caught in the middle of the flames. Mathew grabbed the child, taking her to the ward on Freeport 9. Kaylynn was treated for her burn wounds 6 months later, the only lasting one being a circular shaped one on her stomach. Kaylynn then was dumped to the orphanage on Freeport 9, where she lived until she was 16, then joining the crew of a Conference. The captain of the Conference, Jake Crompton, treated Kaylynn like his own daughter, and they quickly became friends. In the year 816, Jake Cromton died, instating Kaylynn as the new captain. Over the past six months, Kaylynn's impermanent has changed quite a bit. Kaylynn used to be a cold, uncaring girl who was only worried about her books, but after meeting Alexis Hunter and Derek Brooks, Kaylynn has become more emotional. Kaylynn used to hang around the Liberty area, criticizing the Liberty Navy. However, she has been recently been spotted in the Omicrons more often than she used to be. At the moment, Kaylynn is 24 years old, but due to the trauma she received as an infant, she is only about 4 and a half feet tall.
