Diplomacy

Updated Enemies list to match in game information. RogueCharlie 09:03, 30 August 2009 (MDT)

For ANYONE who would change the diplomacy lists

This is the NPC FACTION PAGE, not a page for any player faction. Whatever you and your friends role play is fine and belongs on the PLAYER FACTION page, not on this page. This page must match in-game information! RogueCharlie 12:24, 15 September 2009 (MDT)

Edited Titles to make it more logical - Edited Grammar and sentence sequences, included Liberty as a destination for "intermediary" artifact smuggling reflecting the in-game economy - Laowai.

Reference to Cannibalism

A version of this page, early on in the "A Varied Economy" section gave account of the Corsair Cannibalism story as fact. The Cannibalism story is based entirely upon one vanilla rumour on Crete that was never referred to in the extensive Corsair biography included in the game (the Planet Crete infocard) or anywhere else. Many Corsair players therefore view the story with significant scepticism. Because it is based on a rumour, it is difficult to justify it being referred to as anything more than a rumour or legend, particularly as it is not accepted as fact in the RP of many Corsair players. In addition, the use of the term "cannibals" in relation to the Corsairs by non-Corsairs is viewed by many players with Corsair characters as highly irritating, as all information on this stems from the single in-game rumor, on Planet Crete, which enemies would not have access to. It is also, if true, something the Corsairs would not likely share with outsiders, which procludes anyone but Corsairs having knowledge of it. The suggestion that this story is historical fact, on this wiki, could lead to yet more players inadvertently participating in widespread "meta-gaming". I've added qualifiers such as "according to legend..." to highlight that this story is not necessarily a concrete fact, whilst keeping the essence of what was written. Hopefully this is acceptable, and will lead to players who interact with the Corsairs, or new Corsairs being better informed of established lore. --Carlos Benitez 17:31, 21 May 2010 (MDT)
