Background

The Rogues are notoriously the least organized and developed crime society all over Sirius - the reality is, that the Rogues have more hidden outposts and have more advanced ships than anyone would expect. The group officially fights for the freedom of Liberty, but LSF officials disseminate that most of the fight and rob trade convoys because this is the only way for them to survive - however, no one, except the Liberty Rogues themselves know their true goal... The Rogues are a product of over two centuries of systematic lower-class cleansing that occurred on the Liberty planets of Manhattan, Denver, and Los Angeles. Relocated to the Texas prison system, many of them ended up planetside on Houston upon release. Some stayed straight and joined the population scratching out a living. The rest returned to their life of crime, often ending up vaporized by a pursuing Liberty Police patrol or back in prison for longer stretches. The Rogues are generally a disorganized lot. They are responsible for most of the Trade Lane attacks in Liberty space and the adjacent Independent Worlds, usually operating in groups of only two or three ships, without much grasp of advanced tactics. They also provide shelter for the Outcasts in exchange for Cardamine. Recently they have become the smugglers for much of the Cardamine in Liberty space, supplementing or even replacing the Outcasts on certain high-risk routes. This has made them accomplices to the most persecuted criminal group in Liberty space After Amy -The last leader of the Liberty Rogues- decided to sail to a more peaceful place in space, leaving the main pack behind. The choice was difficult were to go forward. Should the Liberty Rogues try to carry on the legacy of Amy and be a more organized and higher-tech faction? Or look back to the past before Amy, and raise another Warlord with mindless bloodthirsty side wings, gaining no respect at all. This question came down to one man. This man was Richard “Ampere” Dwight -The leading engineer stationed on The Nonsense Factory. A long time veteran with the Liberty Rogues. After his personal struggles with living on the right side of the law, he found his calculations with the pack as a recruit. Not so long after he joined, he quickly and quietly climbed the board. He earned his name. He did his miles. And now… it's his pack. “... An open wound can heal as quickly as two weeks. Your mind, on the other hand, will never recover from this …” -Ampere His area of the Liberty Rogues returns to its old roots. No need for the fancy rules and ranks. Keep it simple and build the reputation up again. “... The people remembered us like a bloodthirsty drunken pile of killing machines. Well.. that sounds like the perfect fuel for their nightmares …” -Ampere

Goals and Methods

Under the new Boss -Ampere- the main pack returns to the old traditional roots. Back again with the daredevils, the drunken fighters, the hoarders, the maniacs. The current plans involving the increased distribution of Cardamine and to re-establish dominance in Liberty. Fight for our locked up brothers and sisters, and make a few credits on the side. The Rogues can achive this with their continues efforts to pressure Liberty with piracy, blockades and raids.

The Liberty Rogues has been known to provide escort services to Liberty Rogue smugglers in exchange for a cut of their profits. The reasons for this agreement first coming into being are unknown while it is assumed that it is purely for the purpose of profit. The Liberty Rogues will escort pilots from allied factions such as the Junkers or the Lane Hackers if it is needed but will not deal with the superiority complex of either group and will easily tell them to shove it if disrespected. In some cases in the past, it even happened that some rogue pilots turned against their own allies because of their superiority complex. Rogues can often be seen operating heavily and or loosely defended smuggling convoys outside Liberty space for the sole purpose of bolstering the Liberty Rogue's economy rather than relying on foreign shipments, The BOSS permits rogues to leave the confines of Liberty with their smugglers to ensure their profit is not hindered by any unexpected encounters.

Identification of a Rogue

All Liberty Rogue vessels is highly distinguished from any other liberty-based ship line. Easy to spot the "unique" build type. The ship's markings make it clear who they belong to and what they represent. Some traders and poor souls who survived their attacks and raids describe the ships as a fearsome element with high maneuverability and dangerous tactics. Some insist that the names of the LR- ships bear some hidden meaning known only to LR- members. Rogue pilots are probably the loudest pilots when it comes to parties or long escorts. But one thing for sure, if you ever encounter one, never say anything demeaning about their ship.. otherwise you might end up in a wreck floating in never-ending space.

Every member of the faction must hold the official ID of the Liberty Rogues and use the faction tag: LR- befor the name of the ship.

The rank of a rogue is maybe one of the only things that make them different from each other. It's fairly obvious to spot a newbie in the pack, but just as well easy to spot an Ace or a Veteran amongst the drunken pile. There are rogues that earned their name from the actions they committed or the reputation they hold within the faction. In accordance with this, the leaders and higher ranking Rogues recognize the following ranks:

Recruit/Freshmeat: The only thing that separates these newly joined members from the independent pirates in space, is that they grow a liking to the lifestyle, or there been recruited by a more experienced Rogue. In this stage, they must prove themselves to be more outstanding.

Rogue: Once they spent enough time around the pack, and participated in a few raids or battles. Or maybe they did something that will catch the attention of Bosses, from that point they will be recognized as full-fledged Rogues.

Ace: A more advanced member of the pack. It usually holds some kind of specialty in some sort of area. Tend to lead and assist other Rogues in combat or Convoy scenarios and missions.

Underboss: He is the right arm. The workhorse for the Boss and for the Faction. Underboss' handle the day-to-day operations of the faction, from bounty payouts, member handling, and generally lightening the workload on the Boss. He is directly answering to the Boss

The Rouge Boss: This position held many years over the years. But to put simply, he is the boss. The one. The leader of the pack.
