Yo! This is Sand_Spider. I had to flip-flop my name around since it seems I tried to create an account in the past and forgot my password. I don't fly in-game much these days, but that's just fine, I still enjoy chatting with the members of the community and logging on for a spot of fun now and again.

A bit about myself

I've been a part of the Discovery community since about 2007. Like many before me, I was a presence in-game for a while before creating a forum account, but let's just stick with having joined early 2007. I've had the privilege of being a part of a few factions over the years - I remember my days in the Xeno Alliance the most, though I was also a part of the NovaPG Blood Dragons faction (Got bored and bailed out of that one before the major drama surrounding BulldogNK was discovered), and I was part of the IMG| for a short time. For the most part however, I've enjoyed not being a part of any faction, instead choosing to build my own stories.

My most successful character was Ozei Ruousha. I played him for the better part of 5 years before losing interest in Discovery for a long while. Most notably, I was able to secure a Golden Chrysanthemum Orchid Bomber on a Freelancer ID, back before the tech chart was implemented and you needed forum permission to use a faction's equipment. I also picked up a Blossom, back when it was a VHF, and eventually was able to mount Bretonian Splitters on that thing. It was a proud time for me, owning a one-of-a-kind ship/weapon combination during the server's years of around 148~ players during much of the day.

These days, I don't put as much effort into it as a used to. I've grown from being a teenager and have been lucky in finding someone to spend my life with, whose also a gamer as I am. We both work for a living, and much of our time is devoted to things other than Freelancer.

Still, here I am, contributing to the wiki, hoping to impact the community in a different manner.
