Herr Von Claussen was a Rheinland spy and informer who played an important part in the Freelancer Singleplayer Campaign.

Information

Von Claussen's history isn't covered in the singleplayer campaign, but it is revealed that he was apart of the Rheinland Military before the Nomad War. After the Rheinland government started to threaten and harm her citizens, he left the Rheinland Military and joined The Order under Lord Hakkera's supervision. Claussen says to Trent during the Nomad War that: "You have no idea how difficult it was to betray my world in order to save it."

Von Claussen is loyal and strong willed. He has a very strong sense of justice and this is plainly obvious in his patriotism to Rheinland.

After the Nomad War, Trent's Neural Net Logs say that he vanished and is presumed missing or dead, but then says he believes that the Von Claussen he knew didn't give up easily. Also in the cutscene at the destruction of the dyson city, he is seen flying with Edison Trent, which makes his disappearance controversial.
