This ship is one if not the only remaining relic of the original "Nephilim" Class Juggernaut guardship. In early exploration, Zoners discovered this abandoned ship and restored its systems as good as possible. During the restoration process they realized the potential of this ancient relic and derived the Nephilim class from it.

While the Nephilim offers significantly more firepower and room for its inhabitants, the Persephone has a stronger hull made of ablative alloys manufactored on nano level. Zoners soon found out that the modern Nephilim was cheaper to reproduce while at the same time offering higher combat ratings and more comfort. But this old ship was never decommissioned.

These days it is said that the Leviathan class "Persephone" is deployed to perform guard duties in the most remote Edge World systems of Sirius.
