My content generator

http://cshake.homeip.net/flwiki/

Will change often, if it looks weird or has ugly looking output, I'm probably working on it while you're using it. Leave me a message here if you're unsure if it's producing something usable.

Osiris linear Drag

Found the reason the Osiris wasn't showing up in the generator, shiparch.ini is missing linear_drag for it, which should be forwarded to the Devs as a bug. I'm assuming it to be 1 now, since it is 1 for all other ships. The tool you requested is now ready to use as well. (All types of content generation can now be found at http://www.cshake.homeip.net/flwiki/, I set up a selection redirect page there. If you could update the sidebar that would be cool.) -cshake 23:11, 3 October 2009 (MDT)

Weapons Template:

I had some time this morning, so I decided to code the individual weapon pages generator. It's all working with the templates and everything except one large issue - Template:Weapon main doesn't allow for tables in the sell location field. I'd really like to use the same format for buying locations as with commodities, etc, with the spoiler header and collapsible/searchable table. Is it possible in any way to make the template allow for tables, or what should I do? Thanks -cshake (feedback-contribs) 10:28, 9 October 2009 (MDT)
The problem is we are making a wikitable inside a template. Inside templates, the "|" character is a "new field" or "break-command" depending on syntax. To be able to make a table inside a template, we need to use another non-exiting-template inside the root-template. This is {{!}} for each | character. To make it more readable for people, you can also use {{!!}} where there are two ||. Either method works. In the example below you'll have to add Owner as well since this was an early table version. ~Chovynz~

Thanks, fixed and it's working, all ready for people to make weapon pages. -cshake (feedback-contribs) 23:36, 11 October 2009 (MDT)

Hold off on adding individual weps and please lock the Weapons Generator. I'm re working the Weapon template as they were ugly and clunky. I'm streamlining the process but I don't know how long it'll take me to complete.
See here for my progress Template:Weapon. You could re-write your output in the meantime. ~Chovynz~ (BlabsEgo) (Wiki Admin) 14:22, 16 October 2009 (MDT)
Updated the template. The Usage is my intended usage target. Use those lowercase fields in your output. ~Chovynz~ (BlabsEgo) (Wiki Admin) 14:27, 16 October 2009 (MDT)
Output re-done, page locked. Will the template automatically generate "Category:Weapon"? Do I need to do any formatting on the numbers for anything, or just leave them like we use on the ship infobox? -cshake (feedback-contribs) 15:08, 16 October 2009 (MDT)

Torpedoes + Bombers

I need some more time to think through the contributing things. Might be good for us to Skype/IM sometime about this. Can't right now. Am busy. We'll catch up soon/later :) ~Chovynz~ (BlabsEgo) (Wiki Admin) 14:08, 9 October 2009 (MDT)

Content Errors

The Hornviper MK I and MK II are both listed as beeing sold on Red Hessian bases by the content generator. FLstat disagrees [1]. I have verified this using FLstat. Tazuras 12:02, 4 May 2010 (MDT)

Fixed, turns out it was finding "rh_gun01_mark04" at the red hessian bases because they sell "fc_rh_gun01_mark04". Oops. ~cshake (talk) (sysop) 13:37, 4 May 2010 (MDT)

Thanks

I really appreciate what you are doing for this wiki. Thanks man. ~Chovynz~ (BlabsEgo) 12:59, 23 September 2009 (MDT)

The ship thingy in the side menu

Currently the ship thingy in the side menu links to Category:Ship Types. I suggest we link it to Ship Portal instead. "Tracky 23:39, 28 December 2009 (MST)"
