The reason is that after it's created it can slowly sink in the Recent Changes list and if nobody continues the article soon, then it can stay like this for a very long time. This can be an issue since we all write occasionally, or in bursts, so this can happen and has happened somewhat. Hey, good to see new faces in wiki.
One word of advice though. I would not make new pages like this unless you make at least a preliminary draft and write some info to it. The reason is that after it's created it can slowly sink in the Recent Changes list and if nobody continues the article soon, then it can stay like this for a very long time. This can be an issue since we all write occasionally, or in bursts, so this can happen and has happened somewhat. It would be better not to have the badly unfinished page created (just for creation sake) so it could be found from the "needed pages".
Other than that. Welcome aboard. --Looqas 02:50, 10 October 2008 (MDT)
