Originally an experimental vessel designed by the LSF and LN, the original Osiris and it's designs were stolen by defecting Order agents. The current design abandons the dangerous and volatile cloaking technology in favor of increased armour and bigger engines. The Osiris is still used as a strike battleship, heavy hitting and lightly armored it packs a punch that even the Liberty Dreadnought can't match for it's size. The Osiris has been the base model for a number of recent capital vessels designed by the Order. Due to a prior agreement with The Order, the Corsairs also have plans for this ship and are able to produce the ship for active Corsair service.

I have always loved being on the lighter end of every class, and battleships are no exception.  A week ago I insisted that I would hate battleships.  The biggest I was willing to fly were cruisers, and I had lots of them.  But now, I've built many battleships, and this is my favorite so far.

It's the smallest battleship in the game, and it is also the fastest-turning battleship in the game.  Even for its size, it's still got a decent amount of firepower.  This ship flies similarly to a battlecruiser, only stronger and without thrust.  The Osiris performs best when fleeing, as it can fire the most amount of weapons backwards. After loading your two flaks which are necessary to stop bombers, you will have only four secondary turrets left to counter smaller ships.  Oddly enough, this is actually one of the more effective battleships for fighting fighters and bombers, as these secondaries are close together enough for good accuracy.  However, this also makes the Osiris very vulnerable to a common enemy to corsairs and the order: the Bounty Hunter Bottlenose.  The bottlenose is tiny, but still has the shield of a gunboat.  With only four secondary turrets after flaks, the Osiris does not have enough firepower to hurt a bottlenose's shield with only the occasional hit, faster than its shield can regenerate.  The Osiris is effective against every class of ship except gunboats.  Because of this, you would be best off with a cruiser flying along to keep those pesky gunboats away.|4.86}}

Originally an experimental vessel designed by the Liberty Navy, the original Osiris and its designs were stolen by defecting Order agents. The current design abandons the dangerous and volatile cloaking technology in favor of increased armor and bigger engines. The Osiris is still used as a strike battleship, heavy hitting and lightly armored it packs a punch that even the Liberty Dreadnought can't match for it's size. The Osiris has been the base model for a number of recent capital vessels designed by the Order.

The Corsairs gained the schematics to the Osiris from the Order during their alliance, and have since built a number of these ships themselves, for use against their Hessian and Outcast enemies.
