But as the GMG expanded and grew they encountered new threats. Pirates and Terrorists throughout the Sigmas saw GMG convoys and stations as opportune targets for many organized attacks and raids. And so the GMG directed it's attention to it's security and came out with a number of ship models designed specifically to protect it's convoys and base's of operations from these attacks. This along with generations of training in particle cloud combat made the GMG fighter pilots some of the best in Sirius.
