A collection of systems where faction (and a pilot representing that faction) has a valid reason to be in. Also known as Zone of influence, Area of interest/influence.

Description

While roleplaying a pilot a person of a certain faction is encouraged very strongly to stick with his or her zone of interest. On some occasions people are allowed to fly missions to outside of their ZOI, such as acquiring weaponry from your allies or during events, but in those cases the out of ZOI behavior and presence has to be role played well and in accordance with the agreement you have setup with the faction who's ZOI (and whom bases you are planning to visit) you are in.

Very few factions have a Sirius wide ZOI, but few like Zoners, Junkers and Freelancers are an exception, but even for them the guard systems of other factions are out of limits.

Out of zone of interest playing is in essence playing out of character and will lead to sooner or later a sanction by the admins.
