Discovery Wiki:Page Deletion

Add a new section.

• All pages nominated for deletion need a section on this page marked with a timestamp to indicate the date of nomination. A timestamp can be produced by signing the entry with four tildes ( ~~~~ )
• Pages that are nominated for deletion will be given a grace period of some time to discuss the proposition in full. If no valid arguments against the deletion of the page are given, a moderator will remove the page from the wiki at that point. Note that a deleted page can be recreated following its deletion.
• Archive 1 (2008-05-14 - 2009-07-23), Archive 2 (2009-07-23 to 2010-05-14)

Gallic language (DELETED)

I am not the one who marked it for deletion, but I agree. It is basically a translation page, and the server rules clearly state that everything must be in english. The only exception is for words already in english lexicon, and all but a few on this page are. Said words do not need a page. Therefor this page is unnecessary clutter and should players who choose to use words out of common lexicon sanctioned. Ipuvaepe 13:12, 13 August 2011 (UTC)

J-93 Torpedo Boat "Javelin" (DELETED)

Page claims to be a design to be implemented in 819 A.S. (4.86). It's a gunship-sized vessel with a cruiser shield, SHF agility, heavy cruiser powercore, and a bomber torpedo slot. Overpowered pipedream doesn't begin to approach this. While it could be considered a sketch or idea, it is most definitely not a completed design as the page states. It has not been updated in nearly a year.

Spam (RESOLVED)

There's now 190 pages marked for deletion as spam, 110 pictures marked for deletion and 16 pages marked for deletion.

In other words, almost 7% of pages on the wiki are (as of 27.11.11) spam or up for deletion.

Sirius Sector (RESOLVED)

As proposed on Talk:Sirius_Sector I think this section overlaps too much with Geography which is on the main page. The history of human settlement could easily be integrated into Geography under the Houses section, the heavily outdated information on guard systems as well. All other information on that page has been available on Geography for a long time and fits there better anway. Hell, there's even a section labeled Geography in [[Sirius Sector]...

I'm currently working on creating a new map, detailing all as-of-v4.86 guard systems, including a legend.
