The Early Days
Dankien Moebus was born 30 years ago in Quebec system (House of Liberty) on planet Montreal in a poor family. At this time his parents were working in a small fertilizer factory.
Because of the war between Rheinland and Liberty, Dankien's family needed to migrate to a safer place: California system - Planet Los Angeles where Dankien stayed a few years and studied industrial engineering.
During a journey on Planet Curacao (he won an all-included trip after participating to some TV-show) he realized that life could be quite different from what he knew. During this trip he met a lot of foreign people and that's why Dankien decided that one day he would explore the rest of Sirius to meet mode different people and ways of life.
However, he had no credits to pay for space travel tickets or to buy his own spaceship. So he started to work on planet California for Synth Foods. Thanks to his academic knowledge he was recruited to optimize some food transformation processes and biodome management. Then, a few years later, when he get enough money, he bought a little transport ship that allowed him to start exploration of Sirius and make more money as a food-shipper associated with Synth Foods. This was the first time he was able to leave the liberty system. That period was quite exciting for him.
Meeting Zoners
After a couple of years, he became tired of the capitalist profit-orientated mindset of the House corporations and began to think about leaving House space. An opportunity arose on Bethlehem station where he met a friendly group of zoners. Soon, Dankien was seduced by the zoner way of life and decided to join their group that was settled in Pennsylvania.
One day, after they had just brought a large convoy of goods to Freeport 6, they made a stop in Baffin system to refuel and to have some rest. At this time Dankien was introduced to the TAZ community and to his religion. During this journey in Baffin, he heard about other zoner communities in Sirius. Especially, he learned about the ZTC settled in the Edge Worlds far away. Immediately, he realized he wanted to join them in order to live in a region not influenced by House governments (like it was the case in Pennsylvania).
Joining ZTC
After a long trip through the Border Worlds Dankien finally met ZTC members in omicron theta on Freeport 9. After he explained his intent to join ZTC, he was asked to conduct some missions to demonstrate his skills as a pilot, trader and diplomat. It took several weeks to Dankien to complete these missions. During this 'initiation' Dankien discovered a lot of new systems and met many people from different factions that he had never heard before. This training was hard and gave to Dankien some difficult time, but it also allows him to make new contacts around Sirius.
Finally, Dankien Moebus returned on Freeport XV and was made an official member of ZTC. At this occasion, he received additional information about this group of zoners and fully understood the meaning of ZTC membership: a privilege to join a great community with a lot of resources but also a duty to behave properly in any circumstances in order to shine ZTC faction.
The Ascension
After he joined ZTC, Dankien chose to be assigned to the ZTC Trade Department. Then, he made a proposal to completely reorganize this department. ZTC leaders agreed and thus new trade routes were defined, new agreements with other entities were concluded and new contracts were signed. A lot of Sirius credits were generated during this period.
At one point, ZTC leaders decided Dankien Moebus would become the new Head of the ZTC Trade Department, giving him the full power to take decisions regarding ZTC economy. So, Dankien Moebus become in charge of a significant fleet of ZTC traders: planing convoys to handle incoming supplies and to export goods.
Later, at some ZTC election, Dankien was proposed by leaders to become himself one of the ZTC leaders. While this decision surprised Dankien, he accepted his nomination and was elected. While still keeping an eye on ZTC trade activities, he was also involved in the ZTC policy and diplomacy. This was at this moment the Kerberos Battleship was built for him. Its purpose was to be a mobile headquarter for Dankien Moebus.
The First Corsair War
At this time, everything was for the best in the best of all possible worlds. But it was not going to last...
Suddenly, an important conflict rose with Corsairs. Reasons of this conflict were never clear, but it seems it had something to do with food shortage in omicron gamma, the core of Corsairs empire. Or maybe it was related to some secret agenda of the Corsairs.
Anyway, immediately, all ZTC military units were mobilized to defend omicron theta and omicron-74. However, that was not sufficient to resist to the Corsairs fleet. Therefore a crisis unit was set up in the most secret base of omicron-74: i.e. Corinth Research Station, the hidden station in the middle of the Peloponnese minefield labyrinth. All ZTC allies were invited to coordinate actions. Such meeting was very hard to conduct since enemies like GMG and Outcasts had to sit around the same table... Nevertheless, a military agreement was successfully reached to help and support ZTC against Corsairs aggression.
At the same time, OSI (another group of zoners based in Liberty) admitted defeat and surrendered to the Corsairs in order to avoid the conflict with Corsairs. This decision was felt by ZTC as a betrayal and became a source of hate between the two zoner factions.
Since Corsairs were no longer supplied by ZTC they had to find new trade partners to get food and other goods. For that reason, ZTC decided to create a group of pirates that would prevent traders to supply Corsairs. The Wild 13 group was born!
While the Wild 13 were not zoners they were still very close to ZTC who paid them well for their duty. During the following weeks it was reported by Wild 13 that Samura and OSI were the most important suppliers of Corsairs (and of course, it did not help OSI's reputation toward ZTC).
After days of heavy fights, it was decided to evacuate Freeport 9 and to sabotage the biodomes to be sure the Corsairs won't be able to use it. Additionally, for security reasons, it was decided that most of the ZTC civilian would migrate to a safer place. Therefore, the ZTC legendary colony ships were sent in deep omicron space where they finally found their way to leave Sirius. It was at that time that the remaining ZTC leaders renamed their organization as the Omicroners.
Meanwhile, the fights kept going with Corsairs. Hopefully, thanks to heavy support from many groups, Corsairs were never able to defeat the Omicroners. After weeks of conflict Corsairs eventually lowed the pressure and while no cease fire was signed, military incidents were thankfully increasingly rare.
During this period of relative quiet time, Dankien Moebus took the opportunity to manage a program to repair, retrofit and improve zoner installations in omicron-74. New defence systems and detection satellites were installed. All stations were upgraded with reinforced armours and powerful shields. New mines were installed in strategic locations.
The Cardamine Project
Since Outcasts helped ZTC against Corsairs, Dankien decided to thanks them with recurrent convoys of goods. However, Outcasts economy was already running without zoner support, so something else was proposed.
During a secret meeting with the Scientific Department of the 101st it was concluded Dankien would provide nomad technologies developed by The Order and conduct studies on human health effect of cardamine (the objective being to find solution about unwanted effects). Due to the sensitive and confidential aspect of this agreement, only very few Omicroners were allowed to know about it. Actually, one leader and a team of scientists were aware of this research program. While the scientific team started his research on Corinth Research Station, it was quickly decided to move their entire laboratory on the Kerberos Aquilon class ship. Moreover, because supplying 101st with nomad technologies would have caused a major diplomatic issue with The Order, Dankien asked Trevor Peres, one of the Wild 13 agent to conduct the transaction with Outcasts. Trevor reported to Dankien that he successfully delivered the nomad technologies to 101st. On his side, Dankien managed scientific research on human health effects of cardamine and provided several reports to 101st.
The Second Corsair War
This status quo between Omicroners and Corsairs lasted for months before a new escalation of violence occurred. The beginning of what is called the second Corsair war is probably due to some groups of fighters that used Freeport 9 and 5 to raid Corsairs bases. While these groups were not directly supported by Omicroners, it was true the Omicroners appreciated them for what they do. While Freeport 5 was not under jurisdiction of Omicroners, they refused to comply with Corsairs for Freeport 9 since it would have meant to remove docking right to at least half of Sirius.
Consequently, Corsairs started the hostilities against Omicroners and the edge world was plunged in war again. However, using his leader position, Dankien Moebus opened secret negotiation with Benitez and Sails Corsairs in order to find a peaceful issue to this new conflict. While it was almost achieved, other Omicroners leaders suddenly decided to leave omicron-74 and to follow ZTC civilians outside of Sirius. Of course, it ended the war with Corsairs.
Omicroners being disbanded, the other zoners had to reorganize their activity in the Edge Worlds, especially in omicron-74. That was at this time the Confederation of Freeports was created.
The Rise of the Phoenix
As a matter of fact, Dankien Moebus didn't leave Sirius with the other leaders and he was still in possession of large resources (ships, goods and credits). So after a brief period of time, Dankien gathered the remaining Omicroners and some independent zoners willing to join him and founded the Phoenix. Objectives of this new group were radically different from those of ZTC and Omicroners. The most important change was to retire from active politics and to leave the omicron systems. For that reason, the Phoenix fleet moved to Sigma and established a hidden base in Sigma-17. Considering things were going right and because he was tired of the leader position, Dankien transmitted the direction of the Phoenix to Christian Burton.
Then, Gallia started to invade Sirius and to have an open conflict with TAZ. While Dankien thought the Phoenix should stop all trades with Gallic groups loyal to the Gallic King, Christian preferred to keep on maintaining trade relations with Gallia. After a few arguments between Christian and Dankien about this topic, Dankien was finally kicked out of the Phoenix.
In the Shadows
After he became a zoner indie again, Dankien joined the Wild 13 agent Trevor Peres to work with him and his Kerberos team on various scientific studies in the deep space of the Edge Worlds. The objective was to find the path followed by the ZTC and Omicroners when they left Sirius. Together they improve the knowledge on gravitation (while studying gravitational anomalies) and energy field (while studying jump hole evaporation).
The Kerberos
When Dankien Moebus founded the Phoenix, he split his Omicroners leader resources in two groups. One part of the resources were used to rise the Phoenix while the other part, included the Kerberos battleship, was given to Trevor Peres (after he left the Wild 13 and became zoner) who was still placed under the direction of Dankien Moebus.
