Revision as of 13:26, 19 May 2008

I'm not sure I like the format for this page. There is too much info going sideways - makes for an unreadable table. Perhaps a contents list would be better with the class 4 weapons described below would be better? How is this new template suggestion going to affect class 10 weps?

We can remove some columns:

  • The 'class' column is of no value on the class 4 weapons page (where every weapon is class 4).
  • The 'effective against' column can be derived from the 'type' column.
  • The 'weakest against' column can, too, be derived from the 'type' column.
  • The 'where to get it' column should go on the weapon's page.

What do you think?

Class is definatly not needed on this page. Will be needed on the indiviual wep page. The "where to get" can go to the wep page. We need to be careful of the type. That changes the effects of the shields - not depending on type. It's kinda useful to see what they are effective and not effective against at a glance, but those are the things that take up the most space. What if we had a short description with those things in the description? i.e

Name Faction Hull Damage Shield Damage Range Speed Refire Rate Energy Usage Price
Bluebell Chain Gun Civilian 15 7 825m 750 m/s 16.67 8 $7800
Type Tachyon-Based, Strong VS Molecular Shields, Weak VS Positron Shields

I dont like the above now. It screws up the sorting.
