Palermo Base is the front line of Outcast defence against Corsair onslaught in Omicron Eta system. This heavily armored installation was constructed in 786 A.S., shorly after the nearby mine field was set up. Its main purpose is to keep the Corsairs from advancing beyond Omicron Eta. To date neither the Corsairs nor the Outcasts have managed to score any decisive victories in Omicron Eta, although skirmishes along the minefield are common.
