A bribe is an amount of money given to a representative of a faction, usually in a bar. Taking a bribe from one faction will make it and its allies more favourably disposed towards you, and its enemies less favourably disposed towards you.

Bribes are an essential part of repping (i.e. obtaining a faction tag). When two or more representatives of a faction appear in the same bar, this is referred to as a multiple bribe (double bribes being the most common). Usually, a double bribe can give a flashing IFF instantly.

Military factions (Liberty Navy, Bretonia Armed Forces, Kusari Naval Forces, Rheinland Military, Gallic Royal Navy) cannot be bribed, but police factions can.
