Constructed at [[Yokohama Shipyard]]s in 798 A.S., the Battleship Matsumoto is one of the Genji class battleships that were built primarily as mobile bases and for securing key locations from pirate forces, rather than for the crushing brutality of frontline warfare against other capital ships, where manoeuvrability is often the key.
