Planet Mindanao is a true miracle for scientists. But like every rose, this stellar body has thorns. Huge uranium deposits are present inside the planet's crust, and severe radiation that penetrates all types of shields makes approaching Mindanao very dangerous. After several insuccessful attempts that lead to destruction of a mining ship with 58 crewmen aboard, Independent Mining Guild restricted access to the planet for all non-hostile vessels. Some time ago, however, Sarawak Research Station was built on the planet's far orbit, and research of Mindanao's unique nature will soon continue.
