Planet Mindanao is a true miracle for scientists. But like every rose, this stellar body has thorns. Huge uranium deposits are present inside the planet's crust, and severe radiation that penetrates all types of shields makes approaching Mindanao very dangerous. After several insuccessful attempts that lead to destruction of a mining ship with 58 crewmen aboard, Colonial Republic restricted access to the planet for all vessels. Some time ago, however, Sarawak Research Station was built on the planet's far orbit, and research of Mindanao's unique nature is continuing.
