Introduction

Before she signed on to fly with the Liberty Rogues, Eva Jones practically did not exist. There are no police logs, birth certificates, arrest warrants or any other information pointing towards her existance prior to late 816 A.S.

Eva Jones appeared to the world with a big bang, flying her Gunboat, the Heart Of Gold through New York and brushing aside all opposition with relative ease before disappearing into the Pittsburg Debris field. On her maiden voyage under the new Captain, the Heart Of Gold reportedly destroyed one Liberty Gunboat and cripple two more. Since then, the Heart Of Gold has been sighted regularly within Liberty, primarily flying around the New York and California systems, despatching all those who oppose her.

"You will remember my name; I am Eva Jones!" - Eva Jones across New York's open broadcast channel.

Personality

Eva Jones is notoriously cocky and arrogant. Some even call her a narcissist in love with her own name. She constantly taunts and goads her opponents in and out of combat. She brags about her victories, and even her losses and takes no shame in rubbing her superior fighting ability in the faces of her unsuccessful opponents. There appears to be very little motive behind Eva Jones attacks on the Liberty Navy, for the most part they are unprovoked. However, Eva has been known to be easily angered when people do not recognise her, leading many psycologists studying her behaviour to believe she is a sociopathic killer who wants little more than for people to know her name and remember who she is.

It has also been noted that Eva Jones shows some honour on occasions. She seeks to fight in fair duels where possible and refuses to "Pick on small fries" in her own terms. She has been seen to show some empathy after killing what she deems to be an unworthy opponent, either by mistake or in self-defense. It is evident that whatever honour and empathy Eva Jones still has, it is quickly thrown out the door when her temper rises.

"Don't you know who I am? I'm Eva bloody Jones!" - Eva Jones to her assailants moments before an attack.

That's it! Everybody dies! - Eva Jones moments before she slaughters her opponents.

Sorry honey, I don't pick on small fries. You're going to have to get a bigger ship if you want to dance with Eva Jones - Eva Jones to a lone Guardian firing upon her ship.

History

Prior to joining the Liberty Rogues, Eva Jones history is merely speculation. It is obvious to those who have witnessed Eva Jones in action that she has recieved military training in Ship, firearms and hand to hand combat. However any one who searches the Liberty Database will find no information on Eva Jones prior to late 816 A.S.

It is likely that the name Eva Jones is an alias for whoever Eva was before, and that her file is restricted by the Military, a closed case. Whoever Eva Jones used to be, neither she nor the Liberty Navy want any one to know about it.

The HMS Serenity falls under the control of Eva Jones.

One of the most notable events in Eva Jones' more recent history is the kidnapping of the Bretonian Ambassador, Lafiel Tarrant. Eva Jones was responsible for the ambushing, kidnapping and ransom demands that took place in early 817 A.S. however, when Sylpheed learned of the kidnapping he muscled his way in to control of the situation and took over the ransom demands. Eva Jones has been known to harbour resentment towards Sylpheed ever since then, however Sylpheed is one of the few people that Eva Jones fears.

The second most notable event in Eva Jones' recent history took place in Texas during a Rheinland military incusion into the system. Eva Jones, together with Jimmy and Eva McDowell successfully held off eight Rheinland Military Fighters and Bombers until the Liberty Navy arrived. Despite being out-numbered and out-gunned, Eva Jones and her comrades destroyed over half the Rheinland forces before the Liberty Navy arrived. It is evident from this event that Eva Jones remains a patriot to her House, despite becoming a wanted criminal.

"Hey Rogues. I wanna sign up. Reasons? They're my own. History? None of ya God Damn business. The name's Eva Jones. Any questions?" - Eva Jones in her application to the Liberty Rogues.

Known Accomplices

Despite Eva Jones' enormous Ego, she has not achieved her reputation alone. These are some of the other Liberty criminals Eva Jones is known to trust and work with.

Blue Raven

During Eva's early career, she was sighted frequently flying along side the infamous Tridente, the Blue Raven. Together the pair have been witnessed to destroy entire Battlecruisers with barely even a scratch.

Be Good At It

One of Eva's more common accomplices, the Gunboat Captain known as 'Jimmy Engvall.' Eva and Jimmy often teamed up with the Blue Raven, and have reportedly been successful in cripping a Liberty Navy Dreadnought. Jimmy is one of Eva's most trusted comrades, and the only Gunboat Captain capable of matching her skill.

Maelstrom

One of Eva's more recent accomplices, Eva McDowell. Eva Jones and Eva McDowell are often seen flying together with Jimmy, and together they are a force even the Liberty Navy needs to reckon with. Eva and Eva have been seen flying together right from Eva McDowell's later days as a Xeno.

Known Ships

Eva Jones has been known to fly a variety of ships, although some are more commonly seen than others.

Heart Of Gold

The Heart Of Gold

The History of the Heart Of Gold extends well before Eva Jones ever became captain of the ship. The ship has a very distinguished service record and continues to preform at it's peak even after years of combat.

The Heart Of Gold was originally known as the Sadistic Intent and captained by the Liberty Rogue, Oliver Hinds in 815 A.S.

With Oliver Hinds at the helm, the Sadistic Intent was every bit as dangerous as the Heart Of Gold is today, and was well known to attack and destroy all manners of Liberty Navy ships. It is rumoured to have even crippled a Dreadnaught in single combat.

In 816 A.S. money changed hands and ownership of the Sadistic Intent was transferd to Ashes Yotaka, who was the Underboss of the Liberty Rogues at the present time. Most of the original crew of the Sadistic Intent chose to stay with the ship under her new Captain. Yotaka renamed the ship to Heart Of Gold and the ship began to patrol Cassini.

When Ashes Yotaka disappeard in late 816 A.S. the Heart Of Gold was dry docked for several months before command of the ship was transfered to Eva Jones.

Today, the Heart Of Gold remains Eva Jones' favoured ship for combat and she is most frequently seen flying this vessel. She has been recorded destroying everying from Liberators to Dreadnaughts, and so far not even overwhelming numbers have been successful in breaking this sturdy and resilient ship despite its lacking armour upgrades.

Prizes And Surprises

Prizes and Surprises is Eva Jones' Pirate Transport. At most it has only ever been glimpsed by Law Enforcement, but never caught or apprehended. The Prizes and Surprises is most commonly seen working together with Eva McDowell's Pirate Transport, Alsatia, pirating transports in the independant worlds.

Misery Buisness

Misery Buisness is Eva Jones' Greyhound Heavy Fighter. On the rare occasions it is seen, Eva Jones has demonstrated that it is not only her skill with Gunboats that needs to be reckoned with.

Screw Subtlety

If you wish to beat Eva Jones in combat, this is the ship you need to look out for. Eva's Barghest, the Screw Subtlety, is not often seen but is usually brought out during the Liberty Rogue's infamous 'Barghest Swarms' to deal with troublesome Capital Ships. The Screw Subtlety had been incapactiated often in comparison with her other ships, and is more often than not barely limping back to base at the end of a day.

Comments: Commander Jack Malrone

The Captain of the Heart Of Gold is known as one 'Evangaline Jones'; a high ranking Liberty Rogue rumored to be second in command of the criminal organisation. The Captain shows remarkable arrogance on the battlefield, and prefers to use guerilla tactics to single out an opponent, dispatch it and disappear before reinfocements can arrive.

The Heart Of Gold is not a ship to be taken lightly, and is a known associate of other well known criminals such as the Blue Raven and Be Good At It.

Evangeline McDowell

There is an obviously strong relationship between Evangaline Jones and Evangeline McDowell. The two of them are often seen together causing mischief around New York and the rest of Liberty regularly. It is not often that Eva Jones is seen without Eva McDowell flying along side her. Details of their relationship are mostly unknown, but there are some speculations of romantic involvement between the two.

Eva Jones befriended Eva McDowell when McDowell still flew under Xeno colours after learning that they shared the same first name. Later that same day, the two briefly fought side by side as the Liberty Navy tried and failed to apprehend Eva Jones with a Gunboat and two Battlecruisers. The pair retreated into the Badlands and parted ways.

Soon after the Liberty Rogues learned of an unregistered Scylla Destroyer named Maelstrom being spotted around Liberty. Once Eva Jones learned that Evangeline was the captain, she called back the Barghest strike squad and conducted a more peaceful resolution. McDowell was cleared of any suspicion after explaining how the Maelstrom had been a wreck salvaged from the edges of known space. Not long after, Eva Jones and Eva McDowell were first seen flying together along with Jimmy and his ship, Be Good At It. Eva Jones also used her influence as Underboss of the Liberty Rogues to help get McDowell access to Liberty Rogue weapondry to equip the Maelstrom with.

Conclusion

I'M EVA BLOODY JONES!
