The Konpaku is a series of one-off Spatial-class Fighter-bombers manufactured by Omicron Supply Industries and, for "Konpaku II", in tandem with AP Manufacturing's APM Shipbuilding subsidiary, using the standard Spatial schemata as a framework. It was designed by Nodoka Hanamura, with Konpaku I being manufactured by OSI in 823 A.S. on Gran Canaria, and following the destruction of Konpaku I in October of 824 AS, Konpaku II was built as a joint effort between OSI and APM, paid by Hanamura herself using insurance funds from the loss of Konpaku I at Alabama Shipyard. Konpaku II boasts uprated Armor and a more stable Powerplant, lessening the risk of a catastrophic failure such as that which occured on the Konpaku I. Defying the role set out for the Spatial family of SHFs, the Konpaku sub-class is nearly in a class of its' own, having the Firepower of both a Fighter and a Bomber, the Hull and Shield Strength of a Medium Gunboat and the Agility of a Super Heavy Fighter. This is accomplished through the employ of various state of the art Fire Control Systems, Adaptive Nx-RA Armor, Rapid-deployment Shield-reinitialization systems, a powerful Electronic Warfare/SIGINT sensor suite, and Top-of-the-line Astrionics and Powerplant systems. As a result of being a one-off variant of the Spatial, as well as boasting hardware beyond that of most stock Spatials, the vessel is very valuable, the value according to the price of the ship and its' hardware combined, ranging from 100 million credits to 175 million credits.

Its' most known use was during the defense of Freeport 11 and Port Carthage during the Defense of Freeport 11 by Core and other elements in 824 A.S., where a Wilde Gunboat was defeated by the joint elements, with Hanamura and her FCS and Tactical AIs, Pale Bride and Honya, being responsible for dishing out a sizable amount of damage against the vessel in tandem with other elements, including more powerful battleships. During the entire 96 Hour defense effort, Konpaku I had also scored a kill on a lesser Nomad fighter, destroying it with the use of its' dual nuclear mine dispensers, as well as aiding the destruction of and directly destroying Nomad vessels. However, due its' capability against Human vessels has yet to be proven. Konpaku I was destroyed in a engagement at the tail end of the conflict by yet another Wilde Gunboat, which resulted in a catastrophic Nucleo-Antimatter detonation which was visible as far as Dabadoru Station for nearly 10 minutes. Following this, Konpaku II was slated for rapid development at the request of Hanamura. Due to her efforts, elements of APM Shipbuilding helped in installing new hardware into Konpaku II, as well as fitting better armor to the ship, as well as providing a place for its' manufacture at Alabama Shipyard. Konpaku II, due to the current situation not requiring her, is Mothballed at Freeport 11, along with other vessels such as the Aigaion and Navigium Ejus.
