Huron is a lifeless, barren world in the heart of the Ontario system. Initial surveys did not indicate the presence of valuable mineral resources, but a thorough planetary survey revealed the presence of abundant and easily accessible deposits of platinum, which could be excavated more easily than other known Platinum deposits in Sirius. Since then, several mining operations have been established planetside. All operations are automated, and the personnel spend most of their time on the nearby Toronto Station which orbits the Planet.
