Diplomacy Blocks
Helping out is one of the reasons I made an account. So far I have the 4 original houses complete along with verification of Ally / Enemy status for each one. Appropriate changes have been made. I figure to start work on the Gallia house either tonight or tomorrow.RogueCharlie 14:04, 28 August 2009 (MDT)

System template
I'm starting to get annoyed with you as you don't seem to comprehend what I'm saying in those other places and messages. I'm the one who made the system template in the first place. I know how it works. Alongside Blodo and Tazuras we made the one you are using and now you are trying to (incorrectly) tell me what to do and how to use it.
I'll try to explain it again. What you and I are doing, is the exact same thing. We are using "{{System".
- What I asked you to do, and what I said, was I want you to adjust {{System_Infobox to {{System. This is for a couple of reasons.
- I want to get rid of the ridiculous redirects in use. To do that I need all systems to be linked to {{System.
- I want new wiki editors to follow the "{{System" usage. I do not want them to use "{{System_Infobox" as that will cause problems in the future. The best way to remove that confusion is to get rid of the incorrect usage, so that they do not follow that bad example.
- I have plans for the future of the System Template, so that all systems can be used AS THEY ALREADY HAVE INFO from the old template, to the one we are using now. For example |region = Liberty. If you remove this info now, when I update the Systems Template with the region coding in the future, someone is going to have to add that BACK IN. I'll be looking at you to do that if you remove it now. There has been alot of information input into the systems already. I don't want to loose that info, since it has involved lots of time and effort from a number of people.
- The same situation exists with |settledplanets = and |unhinhabitedplanets =. If you remove those now then someone will have to put them back in later. The only difference is there is now another template that you can use. {{Planet|Etc|Etc}}
Now. To address your incorrect fixing of Tohoku, and why I reverted it. I deliberatly left these in:
- |region = Northern [[Kusari]]
- |systemname = Tohoku
- |unsettledplanets =
- |settledplanets =
- |owner = [[The Wild]]
1. The region field will be useful if we are able to get around to adding it into the template. To do so I need to think about where it can go, to fit in with the new template. If you remove that info, then when the region gets added later, SOMEONE is going to have to add it back in, and find out where it goes.
2. The system name field is about the only field that is legitimately removed since that is the namespace (the name of the page) + "System". That is already taken care of in the new template, so this is not a problem. However it was in the "incorrect" edit, so it got reverted at the same time.
3. Planets / Unsettled planets / Settled Planets - I plan on separating them later. If you remove these now, there are a whole bunch of systems that will need redoing. I forget how many since it was a while ago since I looked at that aspect. However, you will also note that there WAS NO planets in Tohoku that we know of. I didn't think it was worth putting that field in since it wouldn't change anything. Feel free to re-add "|planets =" if you think it is worth typing and removing that to say the exact same thing. That is to say... "None known"
4. Owner is a useful thing to know who owns this space, and where it is. Again, if you remove this info, SOMEONE is going to have to add it in again later.
5. You incorrectly removed the "s" from |unlawfulnpc =, in the process breaking what I had already put in.
6. Then you moved |stations = down underneath the broken unlawfuls, achieving exactly the same as what I had done.
7. THEN you tell me that I'm doing it wrong, and I should copy you.
So to repeat ... Please do these things only on the system pages.
- Change {{System_Infobox to {{System
- Add the "|description =" field inside the system area
- Move the "Synopsis description text" up to the description field
- Remove "==Synopsis==" from the system page
When all systems have {{System, then we can talk about the next stage.
Attitude
If you are going to try to "correct" me and my methods then you need to either come up to my level of observation, accuracy and research, or ask nicely. I've noticed that you are tending to be a bit pushy in your comments with other wiki editors. There is no need to be, for one, that we need as many people as we can get, and this kind of "pushiness" that you showed me is quite likely to scare newbies away, and two, it's really not a nice way to talk to people.
It might not be an attitude thing, but it's the way you are coming across. It's like a "I know better than you" argumentative, telling, boastful, pushy. I'd like you to ask more questions of people instead of telling people. Find out what what their intentions were instead of saying "You're doing it wrong!"
While I'm in the rebuke mindset, there's another thing I'd like you to address. Be accurate in your comments to other people. You have said a number of times to people over skype that "you" did something when it was not you, but I. There was a topic recently where I had been working on something for over 8 hours, you gave me 15 (distracted) minutes, then told someone else over skype that "you" fixed that problem. I found that insulting to the amount of effort and time that I put into it myself. It's also untrue and riding on my effort "gaining reputation" instead of putting in your own.
Does this make sense? Reply here, and I'll reply here too. No need to separate the discussion between two user talk pages.
For the record I do appreciate the work that you are doing on the Systems. I just don't appreciate you saying "Chovy is doing it wrong, copy me!" and telling me what to do, when I have a future plan in mind, that will not waste the effort that people have already done. Let's discuss this and get through it eh? ~Chovynz~ (Blabs • Ego) 21:38, 17 September 2009 (MDT)
