Ex-Flagship of the Gallic Royal Police
The RPC Vatan was a fairly bulky Obstinate, outfitted to be more of a mobile operations platform than an actual combat ship. It was built in the Dijon Shipyards for the Languedoc Liberation, harnessing the newest systems and design. Now, the Vatan is a deformed floating wreck. Tendrils of energetic microorganisms hover around the ship, some attached to the actual hull. Parts of the armor have been replaced with a hard, alien shell. The inner workings are a mystery to all but few, but a working docking moor suggests that the ship still receives service from somewhere. At this point it's clear that the ship is not controlled by humans anymore. From a public report, the ship is deemed to be "nomadic" in nature and to be treated as one. While some might seem it as hostile, more often than not it does not directly attack other vessels without being provoked.
Service Career
The RPC Vatan was put into service after the loss of the RPC Terrible, the previous flagship of the Gallic Royal Police. It was constructed at the word of Lucas Gerald and used as a personal castle and mobile HQ for the GRP. It was seen at the Battle of Languedoc when the Gallic Forces pushed the council out of Gallia. It stayed in the border worlds and occupied space of Gallia to enforce the King's will.
Other noticeable events involving the Vatan are the Battle of Tau-44, Invasion of Leeds and the escorting of the Royal Family members.
Rogue
Lucas Gerald proclaimed the RPC Vatan under Closed Operation, taking it for a supposed mission. The Royal Crown found the ship in Bretonian space, not responding to orders and even firing on Gallic ships. It was deemed rouge at this point, ordered to be fired upon if seen. It has been seen flying with nomadic ships. It is seen throughout the Gallic war front, Taus, and even the Omicrons.
Corruption
The crew is no longer pure humans. Most of the crew underwent what some might call a ritual, resulting in a change of the crew. The ship acts as a hive node, attracting those who might be influenced by otherworldly powers. The ship is considered to be "under nomadic control".
