After its initial conception, the Coalition research department on Mykolaiv Research Station have refined and updated the original chassis to house a wealth of state of the art Coalition equipment.
The Storm, designed for autonomous reconnaissance missions deep within hostile space, maintains a slender profile and a fearsome reputation in packs for tearing much larger ships to pieces. Built under the Coalition philosophy of inexpensive utilitarian reliability, the Storm has been and will continue to be a feared compliment to the Coalition armada.
Handling
- This ship is too large to use docking bays, it must use mooring points.

Review (4.86)
The Storm gunboat is a little below average for a gunboat, mostly due to the lack of Coalition Gunboat Turrets. It's still good enough to do a good job against fighters and bombers, and it can still handle its own against most gunboats, but against a skilled gunboat pilot the Storm will lose. It's got 108,000 hull, about what you'd expect for a medium gunboat. Its power core is plenty enough to handle sustained fire. It's pretty maneuverable, and it is very pleasing to look at, but it's still rather easy to shoot. Of its 7 turrets, 6 fire forwards, 3 sideways, 4 at flanks, and 5 backwards. It functions very well when chasing targets, however its bad sideways arcs result in it functioning very poorly if the target turns around and makes a pass. It's still a decent gunboat, mostly handicapped by the lack of Coalition turrets, and can only access other faction turrets with a 75% nerf, which can be very painful for a gunboat. I'd say only use this gunboat if you want it for the purpose of playing as Coalition. It's good enough for group battles outside of Connecticut, and can be fun to use, but if you're just trying to get a good gunboat for Conn 1v1's, this is not your boat.Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination Review by TLI-Inferno |
