Hi Alex. Thanks for your work on the wiki. I do appreciate you doing stuff on it.

Bases

Please see Terre Haute Shipyard, and compare the changes I've done with the values you've put into the first edition. It's generally easy to see what type of station it is, based on the name or infocard.

(Copied from Template:Base Infobox): The base type can be one of these choices:

  • STATION (Most stations, Border guard stations, any station in space not classified below, non-dockable destroyed stations.)
  • ASTEROID_BASE
  • DEPOT (Non-dockable weapons and goods caches)
  • SHIPYARD (all shipyards)
  • FREEPORT
  • BATTLESHIP (Dockable Stationary battleships)
  • LINER
  • PRISON

The class can be anything and will be added before the type.

When you create bases on the wiki, if you don't know the type of station, please leave it blank. The template will automatically adjust itself and alert us to "uncategorised". And If you don't know the class just leave that blank too.

Okay, I'll pay more attention to that in future... Also, I have made this: [1] That can be used to fill the base templates until Cshake has made a content generator for it. ;) Oh, and please sign the stuff you add to my talk page, so I don't have to look in the history to find out who put it up. ;) --Alex 16:26, 30 September 2009 (MDT)

Alex . . . I did sign your page. I wrote all of it. ~Chovynz~ (BlabsEgo) (Wiki Admin) 01:41, 1 October 2009 (MDT)

No... You forgot the signature bit at the end, that says your user name, and a time stamp... --Alex 07:40, 1 October 2009 (MDT)

General Template usage

This is the guideline for using most templates actually. If you don't know the answer to a field (question), just leave it blank. I don't want to spend time filling in an answer that I don't know with a space filler answer that doesn't actually add anything to the information. There's no point to manual space fillers on this wiki. So there are categories that are applied automatically to tell us what page needs more info.

Doing it this way will help you become a faster, more efficient wiki editor, and will help me with the overseeing of the accuracy of the wiki content. Thanks :) ~Chovynz~ (BlabsEgo) (Wiki Admin) 13:38, 30 September 2009 (MDT)
