Planet New London was the first area colonised by Bretonia. The Sleeper ship Bretonia landed on Planet New London around roughly 20 A.S., after all three of the other Houses had picked their galactic areas. In modern times Planet New London is the seat of the Bretonian government - both the reining monarch and the Bretonian Parliament holds residence here, and if not more importantly the heart of the Bretonian way of life. Despite heavy pollution caused by generations of heavy industrialization the vast majority of Bretonian aristocracy lives here, and even the most impoverished of citizens is comfortably middle class - a feat achieved by no other House.

Most of the population is employed in the Bretonian bureaucratic aristocracy, and almost impenetrable network of obscure titles, government offices and operating procedure. Because of - or despite - this, all the major Bretonian commercial companies including Border World Shipping (BowEx) and Bretonia Mining and Manufacturing (BMM) have offices here. The Bretonian Armed Forces (BAF) and Bretonian Police Authority (BPA) also have regional headquarters based on New London. The BAF maintains a prodigious flight and officer training academy planetside.
