The Texas Incident

Summary

This Incident occurred during 500 A.S. , and left the Texas system a wasteland. Ageira Researchers aboard the Dallas began testing a new, long range jump gate that would have allowed for travel beyond the Sirius system, and perhaps opened the whole galaxy to man.

Unknown to the researchers, there was Dark Matter in the path that they were trying to use, which caused a feedback surge. This surge destroyed the Dallas and expelled huge clouds of dark matter and radioactivity into the system.

A quarantine was erected across half of the system to try and protect people from the dangers of the radioactivity and the Dark matter clouds.
