Stop editing pages that you ought not to

"If I believe a page needs editing, the wiki allows me to edit it, and Cshake/Blodo/Igiss hasn't said otherwise, I'll edit it to what I believe is correct." As such, I'm editing this one =) Alex, please stop editing pages that have nothing to do with you. If the more experienced editors wish to change things, they would probably at least ask the person on their user page or on the main forums first. Otherwise it's simply rude.

Please let people do their character's RP how they like it

Alex, please stop editing the Fro Errant page. This page is the RP background of a character that is not your, you have no rights to edit it.

That'll be a no.

Hi Alex. Thanks for your work on the wiki. I do appreciate you doing stuff on it.
Thanks. :)
Again, could you sign your messages please? I had to look in the history to see who had added that...--Alex 15:40, 1 October 2009 (MDT)

Bases

Please see Terre Haute Shipyard, and compare the changes I've done with the values you've put into the first edition. It's generally easy to see what type of station it is, based on the name or infocard.

(Copied from Template:Base Infobox): The base type can be one of these choices:

  • STATION (Most stations, Border guard stations, any station in space not classified below, non-dockable destroyed stations.)
  • ASTEROID_BASE
  • DEPOT (Non-dockable weapons and goods caches)
  • SHIPYARD (all shipyards)
  • FREEPORT
  • BATTLESHIP (Dockable Stationary battleships)
  • LINER
  • PRISON

The class can be anything and will be added before the type.

When you create bases on the wiki, if you don't know the type of station, please leave it blank. The template will automatically adjust itself and alert us to "uncategorised". And If you don't know the class just leave that blank too.

Okay, I'll pay more attention to that in future... --Alex 16:26, 30 September 2009 (MDT)

Alex . . . I did sign your page. I wrote all of it. ~Chovynz~ (BlabsEgo) (Wiki Admin) 01:41, 1 October 2009 (MDT)

About the falsified information - I saw that the coordinates had previously been G3 and had been changed to G4 after the update that removed the precise method to find the station. I thought that G3 was the proper coordinate and edited accordingly, as it had worked in finding it before. When I went back to confirm, I realized that it was G4 after all and fixed my mistake, along with adding more definitive instructions on how to get to Ft Leniex. --Verlorenen 22. March 2010

Okay, talk about it on your talk page please. --Alex 16:40, 22 March 2010 (MDT)

General Template usage

This is the guideline for using most templates actually. If you don't know the answer to a field (question), just leave it blank. I don't want to spend time filling in an answer that I don't know with a space filler answer that doesn't actually add anything to the information. There's no point to manual space fillers on this wiki. So there are categories that are applied automatically to tell us what page needs more info.

Doing it this way will help you become a faster, more efficient wiki editor, and will help me with the overseeing of the accuracy of the wiki content. Thanks :) ~Chovynz~ (BlabsEgo) (Wiki Admin) 13:38, 30 September 2009 (MDT)

Please stop using the ships tool

It's not yet ready. ~Chovynz~ (BlabsEgo) (Wiki Admin) 15:38, 1 October 2009 (MDT)
