The Gallic Metal Service was established c. 300 AGS with the merger of several disparate Gallic mining conglomerates. Quickly growing alongside the Crown's ever-widening demand for raw resources, GMS followed in the wake of its fellow megacorporations and acquired the majority of its rivals over the next few centuries. Currently, GMS holds a near-total monopoly on the Gallic mining industry, from planetside excavation to deep space prospecting, as well as an ever-growing share of domestic shipping, directly cutting into IDF's market share. The corporation is famous for their extensive benefits packages and high salaries for their workers, affording them a great deal of favor - and company loyalty.
