After being reassigned from Coronado, the Basilica left behind the Battlecruiser Bastia and a group of escort ships to maintain operations in her stead. Its task, the protection of the Cardamine trade. the crew of the Bastia is made up of veterans of past conflicts with Crayter and Gallia and was chosen specifically because of its extensive experience working within the Barrier Nebula. The Battlecruiser is expected to be better suited to maneuvering within the Nebula, being lighter and more agile.
