On Planet Crete there is a saying that goes: "A strong camel drinks more water." The Farmers Alliance, who are not a desert people unlike the Corsairs, did not understand this saying when they loaned this ship in 823 AS. However, four years of uneventful service proved that keeping a battleship operational was too demanding for their comparably modest funding and industry. The Kumamoto was returned to the Corsairs and reverted to its original name, the Barcelona.
What task should be given to the Barcelona has been the subject of debate in the Cretan Council of Elders, but it is now rumoured that they have reached a conclusion. The Cretan News Service has been reporting about the "lost Corsair influence in the Sigmas" lately. Additionally, it is said that the GMG have recently drawn much ire from the Elders by engaging in artefact prospecting, a business the Corsairs consider their own -- and that they have a few planets abundant with water, something very precious on the desert world of Crete.
