History

A man moved from behind the darkness that flowed like a curtain over himself. Looking at the man in the chair, bound, he raised his gun and pulled the trigger. The last step before the Crazy 88 became a prominent member of the Hogosha.

Hadei was a prominent figure within drilling operations taking place on Planet Junyo. In becoming older Hadei became relentless in his desire to reach the climax of Kusarian society. Corrupting him, the lust of power laundering washed over him and soon he manipulated the locals into a brutal gang war, and left himself as the only supplier of weapons.

Using assassination, he only fueled the bloodshed- resulting in a large accumulation of wealth and subsequent power. Instead of squandering it however, Saito set his eyes on broad horizons and aimed for the eventual control of the Shikoku system. Building a small armada and strong hold on Planet Junyo was critical to their success.

To ensure their advance, many characters were bribed and "negotiated with" so that the 88's growth would go unnoticed and then generally accepted into society. With their expansion into New Tokyo, they swore that they would control the black market trade or otherwise death. But, the Hogosha quickly ensured them that it would quite impossible to complete their tasks.

Not willing to risk what he had built, Hadei Saito accepted the Hogosha's offer to bring them into the organization. This was a symbiotic relationship because it gave the Hogosha a way to control the small and scattered population of Planet Junyo more efficiently. Furthermore the 88, willing to prove themselves, were the first to volunteer for risky missions taking place out of Kusari.

Saito set his eyes on expanding towards the other houses in Sirius and their lucrative weapon trade. With the 88's expansion into the Hogosha, the group began to experiment with other illicit goods in Kusari space. Eventually transporting artifacts from Gamma.

Current Day

In late 816 A.S. Hadei relinquished power to a strong boss named Taka Maruyama. For about 10 years Maruyama had proved himself as a loyal and devoted member of the syndicate. Acting as a driving force with the groups expanding black market trade, he had first hand exposure to the conditions that would drive the 88 in the current part of this century.

The 88 has also sworn to protect Kusari against all foreigners as agreed upon by all Hogosha syndicated. They have played their part in supplying various personnel in stations occupying the Taus with automatic assault weapons capable of holding off boarding crews. Furthermore, the 88 have taken up taxing foreign shipping and taken measures to help the Farmers Alliance if needed.
