The Wohlstand; meaning prosperity, is the newest addition to the Daumann fleet. A mobile base located in Dresden that dwarves the Battleship Altenburg nearby. Its purpose is storing Uncut Diamonds for further shipment to different bases in Sirius. The Wohlstand finally started operations in 818 A.S and is expected remain operation for the next 20 years before decommissioning

Operations

The main purpose of the Wohlstand is to store diamonds. It serves also as the "Western HQ", as part of a new directive from the Board of Director to reduce the ever increasing population on Briesen Mining Facility, Omega 7.

Analysis and Selection Lab

A small laboratoty is set up inside, supposedly for the purpose of studying the diamonds; however, it is known that the finest diamonds are selected and shipped separately to the Daumann Family itself.

The Western HQ

The Wester HQ is the name given to several departments inside the Wohlstand, with the purpose of supervising the operations in western Rheinland, made up of Omega 11, Omega 3, and Omega 7. Stuttgart remains under control of The Ring. Despite its name, the WHQ doesn't take official or major decisions, and is mostly a unit in charge of keeping a steady flow of minerals and credits.

Storage Control

Is in charger that every single diamond that enters the Wohlstand never leaves again without being sold. SC also works with Base security officers stationed on board on investigating potential "moles" stealing diamonds.

Base Security

In charge of keeping order aboard the Wohsltand, they also inspect every ship before docking and undocking.

Other departments

The Wohlstand keeps other rooms, and several accommodations just like any other base, a bar, a store, and living rooms for the employees stationed there.

Interesting facts

  • The Wohlstand is the second most secure asset in the corporation, the first being The Ring and the third the Daumann mansion.
  • Harry Daumann, son of Walter Daumann suggested crashing the Wohlstand to a Hessian base in the expected date of decommission, in 20 years.
  • Workers found stealing diamonds from the Wohlstand are transfered to Solarius Station.
  • Occasionally, red diamonds, known as "Blood diamonds" or "Hessian Tears" are found and jettisoned to space.
