Origins

The Liberty Loyal Service, or LLS for short, is a unit made of specialized pilots founded by James Kirk. Their main objective is to protect civilian traversing the Liberty systems by patrolling and eliminating pirates and hostile threats by any means necessary.

Their motto is Salus suprema lex esto, safeguard is the supreme law.

History

In 803 A.S, after the events of the Nomad War, LPI Major Kirk created a small unit of pilots he christens the LLS. Their HQ was located onboard the Battleship Missouri, in New York.

As a highly ranked pilot and Major, Kirk wanted to pass on his knowledge to other military pilots as well as to Freelancers. In order to do this, he reached out for help to his old friend, former LPI Chief Wallace Custer, who agreed to help him with his endeavour. From that small unit, the two chiefs started to raise funds and recuit the capable men and women of Liberty, as well as Freelancers, in order to enlarge and strenghten it.

As of today, the LLS became an elite unit of highly trained pilots and captains, and everyone in the unit takes Kirk in high regard. Their current HQ, the ""Archer"-class Siege Cruiser, is stationed in dry-dock at the Norfolk Shipyards.
