The Manatum Relief Station was one of the first stations to be built in the Cayman System. Its main purpose was to keep the Reaper forces in the system in full working order by repairing, resupplying and refueling ships returning from patrols in and outside the system. It also boasted the best communications array the Reapers possessed, allowing the detection of incoming hostiles from Omega-47.
After being assaulted by Coalition forces passing into Cayman on route to a more lucrative target, Manatum was left wrecked and venting atmosphere. Badly damaged, the station slowly began to enter a decaying orbit around Fuere and would have impacted the surface if not for the intervention of Zoners from Gran Canaria. Repairing the stations basic functions and sealing it off from the void of space once more, the Zoners have taken stewardship of the station, intending to use the newly named Manatum Relief Sanctuary for their humanitarian efforts.
