Mildred Hawthorne is a president of the Republic of Liberty ever since the 826 A.S after elections which took place after the Gallic war, she built her campaign on a growing nationalist sentiment galvanized by Liberty's seemingly endless sacrifices for Bretonia, which Libertonian citizens may most likely never be repaid to them. Forging the people’s fears and patriotism into a popular movement of manifest destiny, the Hawthorne Administration has reinvigorated Libertonian ideals of rugged self-sufficiency and stoicism, with many new initiatives - such as the Omicron Gateway project in the Alaska system.
