Solo Career
A criminal since the day he was thrown out of the house at 16, Milton Radley's career started small. But even at the beginning, his skill and technological inclinations were obvious; rather than breaking into jewelry shops and robbing banks, he stole from Ageira warehouses and vendors. First, just consumer optronics and simple Starflier comm systems. Eventually, he managed to capture a shipment of advanced scanners that was to go to a new wing of Guardians for the LSF.
Ageira had enough. They put one of the largest bounties ever on Milton and his sister Karen, possibly the largest ever on someone outside of the Lane Hackers. This was more to use Milton as an example than out of him being a personal threat; neither are particularly dangerous in fighters, but their constant escapes and thefts were starting to make Ageira look bad. How, after all, does one fail to find a young man with white hair? It should be easy.
One day on Cambridge, Milton heard about an Ageira Firefly shipping their latest prototype combat scanner, which was being developed there to make better use of the local scientists. He slipped into the hangar where the Firefly was undergoing planetside maintenance hoping to find those scanners to get some to his client. Unfortunately, it was a trap. Ageira security burst out of the Firefly's hidden compartments and demanded that the thief surrender. Instead, he escaped from the ship and hotwired a nearby Dromedary. On his way out, he realized that the Firefly should've been an obvious clue; Ageira almost never uses those.
Joining the Buccaneers
He was already in Bretonia, he had a ship and a criminal record. Liberty and Bretonia wouldn't welcome him, and he didn't think he could make it to Kusari. Rheinland was not an option. The Buccaneers were known for their ruthlessness when it came to dealing with... well, anyone that wasn't a Buccaneer.
Milton was accepted pretty quickly, if only because the last "technical genius" they had suffered a mild case of self-inflicted electrocution. Recently he's been working on a Junker's Firefly in exchange for an updated navigation map, and making some after-market upgrades to the Silver Arrow, his Dromedary.
Change of Scenery
Things weren't working out with the Buccaneers. His technical knowledge was typically wasted fixing things that got broken when they were flying on a bender. And the Buccaneers were falling apart anyway; he got out while he still had a clear way to do so.
He currently leads a drastically underequipped Vagrant Raider wing in the harassment of traders and getting sent on suicide missions.
