Remilia Scarlet was known for being a mercenary for a couple of years working for her own and for her contractors pretty well before her sudden disappearance in recent times. Some are predicting that she's simply dead (and they are happy to think that way), some think that she just got tired of all that shit and the rest are simply don't care. However she survived and keep the blood shed going as it's the only business she's used to be good in. But the approach was changed as well as her mental health was broken by the Aoi Iseijin to get her body, her mind and her skills to serve the Nomads in the war against the human colonies.
Background
Remilia didn't revealed her roots to anyone and only her younger sister, Flandre Scarlet, knows the truce of her origins. But her mouth was shut and this is still unknown. She's using the counterfeit identification papers and people used to know her as Remilia already.
The actual origins of the Remilia is that she's from Bretonia and she was born on the planet Leeds just a couple of years before the war with the Kusari began. Her father was from Rheinland thought so her mixed blood is denying the curious once from determining her true origins. She escaped the besieged Leeds after the war started after having a hard time living in the what has remained from the one of many abandoned cites and by the will of fate she ended up with the Gaians on one of their bases.
Here, on the Holmfilth base she parted the ways with her sister and decided to build her own way in the galaxy as a mercenary. Her first contractors happened to be Corsairs because she really liked the way those people live and act. However soon enough she had enough of them and began to switch sides and contractors before finally she runned out of luck somewhere in Sigma space.
Many though that her story ended there but it wasn't true because the hand of fate, for once again, decided to play with her life and gave her out to the hands of the worst enemies of the Humanity - infected by the nomads humans, Aoi Iseijin. They decided to use her body, skills and memories in service of the Nomads and their war against the Colonies.
